First, when you order something with. “ Sandalwood “ scent, you realize that there are hundreds of versions of “Sandalwood “. This scent is pleasant and mild. I simply prefer a scent that is more woody, exotic, or Oriental. I also like mine to be a bit more pronounced and last longer. For most folks in North America, this would be perceived as a pleasant, masculine “barber shop fresh” Sandalwood scent. The balm itself is refreshing, non-irritating or astringent, and soothing. It would even be an ideal hand cream. The only reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 was because I prefer a different kind of Sandalwood scent. The quality of the product itself is great.
