Same price at food store but don’t have to handle it

We just switched over from the Purina Pro plan puppy food to this Pro Plan adult food for out 2 French Bulldogs! Our dogs love the taste and it seems to hold them over longer than the puppy formula. Amazon always has the best price and I keep this product on an auto ship.

I used to feed my Shelly Pro Plan's Chicken and Rice formula, however, Purina changed it by making a shredded blend which consists of regular nuggets with shredded, beige pieces. Shelly does not like the new blend and I had a hard time getting her to eat it. Consequently, I tried to find another Pro Plan product that would be more appetizing for her. I tried the All Life Stages Small Bites Lamb and Rice product and Shelly finds it much more palatable. For one thing, all the nuggets are same size and they are solid unlike the shredded formula where the nuggets are mixed with beige, rubbery pieces. I'm not kidding, the beige pieces look like rubber and when I tried to pull one apart, it was like pulling rubber. No wonder Shelly doesn't like it. I don't blame her. Shelly also likes the "all life stages" smaller nuggets although being an Australian Shepherd, she can easily chew bigger nuggets. I buy Purina's Pro Plan because they state it is made in America. I read the label on the package and it does indicate that the product is manufactured in St. Louis, MO. I do not want any dog food that is made in foreign countries, especially China. I heard that Purina is now making some of their products in China so I will call Purina (the parent company is Nestle, Inc.) to be sure that this particular product is, in fact, made in the USA. In these times, you can't be too careful. If it is not made here, I will write an addendum to my review. Shelly really likes this product and it seems easier on her stomach. If you choose to purchase it, just be careful to incorporate some of your pet's regular brand with this new formula until your pet's digestive track can get used to the change in diet. I did that with Shelly's food and it worked out well. I like the texture and look of this product but more important, Shelly likes it. I also like the fact that it is nutritious for all life stages in a dog's life. Shelly and I are recommending Purina's Pro Plan All Life Stages Small Bites Dry Dog Food without reservation. Finally, if anyone from Purina is reading this review, get rid of the shredded blend or improve on its appearance and texture. Those beige, rubbery pieces are awful and should be eliminated. Yuck!

My dogs love the product I put out their food and there bowels are clean. A clean bowel means this food must taste great and worth the cost.

Great Food – My GSD Loves It! I feed the Purina Pro Plan SPORT 27/17 Lamb & Rice to my German Shepherd, and he likes it. The small bites are perfect for him, and he has no trouble chewing or digesting it. His energy levels are great, and his coat looks healthy too. The 37.5 lb. bag lasts a good while, and it’s a solid high-protein option for active dogs. No complaints here!

Amazing. I opened the exterior box in a room away from my toy poodle. As soon as I opened the shipping box she came into the room and let me know that she wanted some of the food. When I opened the bag, I thought the pieces might be a little to big for her but she insisted that she wanted some so I gave her a few pieces which she enjoyed. Since it’s suggested when introducing a new food to mix some in with the current food and I did. She removed pieces of her current food out of her bowl placing them on the floor. She has never done this before. After removing the food that she had been eating she proceeded to eat the new food in her bowl and has left the pieces of her former food on the floor for hours as if to say, I don’t care what you do with it. I will try to attach a photo of her action letting me know she’s not going to eat the former food but wants the new Purina. Delivered very fast. Trying this food as another one to test to see if this will help my itchy toy poodle. The reviews seem to be pretty good for skin health. Purina is a company that makes their food in the USA and have been in business for many years. Will see how this goes and update my review. My toy poodle does take a prescription medication daily but it doesn’t do very much.

Both my dogs love Pro Plan food. Have used it for past and present pups since the 90’s and highly recommend. The variety, quality, and value is great for my family. Auto delivery is perfect and give us extra reduction in price. We are and will always be a Pro Plan family.

Our dog thrives on this dog food which came highly recommended from the breeder and our vet.

My little chihuahua had a hard time with these. He loves the same brand small bites chicken, but these kernels seem a little harder to chew. Maybe he just doesn't like lamb - not sure. Either way, Amazon was super and allowed me to return. Just a heads up in case you have a really tiny dog.

My dogs absolutely love this food. The deals can be pretty good. Paired with the Purina wet dog food and they go crazy for it.

My 18 month bernedoodle enjoys this kibble. Eats it also as a training snack.
