Hannah is back!
Hannah Weybridge is a very different kind of protagonist from the traditional male detective with commitment and alcohol issues. She has her own few problems too! But she’s effective in her own way - and tenacious. This is book 5 and it has a great setting - the theatre. A famous theatre at that - the Old Vic in London. A tangled tale that had me guessing to the end. Fans of the previous four books will be pleased to catch up with many of the characters from the events of the earlier ones. Fans will also be wondering if the elusive love interest, Tom, will reappear....Now read on

A dramatic winner
This fast paced novel starts with the dramatic death on stage of Joan Ballantyne, an actor of national treasure status. Hannah Weybridge, a journalist who had been tasked with writing Joan’s biography, refuses to accept the assumed verdict that Joan’s death was suicide. The unravelling of the mystery involves Hannah, and those closest to her, in some danger before the truth is revealed. The author does a wonderful job portraying the character and life of Hannah so that we are totally involved in the story.

Excellent
I have just finished the book, Stage Call and I found it was one of those rare books that I didnt want to end. A real page turner and I am looking forward to the next Hannah Weybridge novel. She is so human and feisty but a gentle character at the same time.

Another gripping read
Stage Call does not disappoint. Follow Hannah Weybridge on yet another mission in this gripping thriller with the usual engrossing sense of place. Anne Coates at her best
