Admittedly, this is the first countersink bit I've worked with. Worked with very little resistance and made a perfectly sized hole for my #8 screws. There was a little bit of cleanup needed around the hole before paint but otherwise, worked nicely. I can't speak to how well these will hold up or in harder woods but for an occasional project or someone just getting started, they work well.
