I love this soap! My skin feels great after I wash.

I am a 40+ years old Asian with sensitive oily/combination skin & acne prone. Together with oil cleansing method for face, I use ABS for entire body, including as hair shampoo, and the routine had helped me greatly with my sensitive skin breakout issues. Have been using ABS for 3+ years and purchased several different brands/vendors. I have been using this particular purchase for over 3 months now. This particular block seem to keep my skin better moisturized in compared to the last 3 brands/blocks purchased through other vendors. I cut the 16oz block into 16 smaller pieces, take out only 1 piece at a time to use and resealed the rest in smaller zip-lock bags inside the original foil bag the soap came in with. Each small piece, for daily use, generally last about 1-2 weeks of shampoo/shower, and about 3-4 weeks by vanity sink for make-up removal. It does have the occasional sands/stones that is a norm for raw ABS, but this batch is by far the cleaner/smoother batch than others I had used before.

For some reason, this did nothing but made me break out even with consistent use over time and it made my skin very oily and shiny. I finally got tired of it so I stopped. Maybe another face would have better look

horrible, made my acne worse. I still have like 4 bars left just wasting. Wish I could get a refund.

Une seule barre dure longtemps car il mousse bien et fond lentement. ❌ Petit point à noter : Comme tout savon noir africain authentique, il peut être un peu friable. Il vaut mieux le garder au sec entre chaque utilisation pour éviter qu’il ne se désagrège trop vite. En résumé : ✅ Laisse la peau douce et hydratée ✅ Naturel et sans produits chimiques ✅ Aide à purifier la peau et à réduire les imperfections ✅ Excellent rapport qualité-prix ❌ Peut être un peu friable, à conserver au sec Je l’adore et je le recommande à 100 % ! Un must-have pour une routine naturelle et efficace.

Firstly, DON'T USE THE BAR DIRECTLY ON SKIN OR LEAVE IT IN THE SHOWER WITH WATER RUNNING ON IT. Saw a few complaints and seems like people don't read products before reading them. The bar has some rough bits that can scratch the skin, use it on a cloth/loofa/etc to get it soapy and then use that on your skin. If your using it on your face just lather up your hands. Don't leave it in water or in your shower. It's a very soft soap and dissolves easily/fast, you really don't need a lot either which is nice. 4 bars for like $20 is perfect, these will last me a good while and I'm not going back to any other body soaps. These leave me feeling clean and hydrated better than other soaps/bodywash I've tried. I do like how gentle it is on the face as well, though in all honestly I still like the Thayer's cleanser I have for that a bit more. It's a very solid back up if I'm out though! I'm nervous to try it on my hair cause my hair is dyed and I saw some comments on it staining a tiiiiiiny bit so can't really comment there. I don't wanna mess up my colors at all, so just playing it safe. The smell is very earthy, not in a bad way and not strong. If you're concerned about smelling earthy yourself after, lotions and such exist and very easily cancel it out. I know I'm a sucker for smelling like coconut and cocao. I love these so much I'm already suggesting them to friends and gave a bar to my brothers to try as well.

Ive been using this product for around 4 months now. This product is excellent to use in the shower because I have found that it works super well for clearing body acne. It hasn't exactly cleared my skin completely but it does do a great job of cleaning my face without the 'stripped' feel. Plus, its all natural and quite gentle so I have complete comfort in using it. I never suffered dry or irritated skin from this product. It has a light scent but it is barely noticeable and doesn't linger after use. To avoid dry skin make sure to moisturize after every use. Its important to keep it stored tightly in plastic wrap away from water because it tends to soften and lose its shape fairly quickly if kept in the shower. Ill definitely purchase again to use as a body soap but I think I will be on the lookout for a new facial cleanser.

I was a bit skeptical about getting/ using this black soap because of my previous experiences with black soap - they’re usually too harsh for my dry skin and strips it off any oils it might have. But not this soap! This soap keep me moisturized and as a bonus, it made my face look like glass without doing too much. Just make sure not to apply the soap directly to your face or skin and you’ll leave it!

Cleanses exceptionally although due to its hand made in small batch nature there are bound to be some inconsistencies and little bits of gravel in the soap and what not. All in all im big on this product, I haven’t felt strongly about soap till I tried amson naturals. I like the earthy smell and how exotic the product is.
