Magic The Gathering Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty Set Booster Box | 30 Packs (360 Magic Cards)

Bought this box because I wanted to organize a small tournament with friends with this being the prize. Disappointed to see that these are repackaged box with literally open packs. The box itself even looks suspicious. How did this even pass a quality check if there was any?

Set boosters are a ton of fun if you enjoy cracking booster packs. Obviously you should buy singles if you care about value, but there are some very cool cards you can open here. And they are undeniably a ton of fun to open and to find out what you get. The foil Japanese lands are gorgeous, the ninja/samurai frames are really cool, and there are some genuinely good/fun cards that can be opened in this set even at rare. Plus, you get a foil in every pack, which is awesome. The funny thing was, my box seemed to be mis-printed or mis-collated. In EVERY pack, there was a Kamigawa Commander rare/mythic before the normal rare/mythic slot. In some packs, you can get this, however it appears that my box got all of them. This means I got 2 - 6 copies of each one. This helped with the value of the box thanks to getting a couple Go-Shintai of Life's Origin. Don't expect this in every box, I haven't seen a single other box that had this behavior. It is another example of WOTC's rampant printing/sorting errors, it was just nice that this time it was in my favor.

I managed to get some really high end hits out of this set. I don't think you'll find it at a reasonable price anymore though, so that may change the value proposition. If you see it for a good special though, well worth picking it up! As always with cracking packs, results may vary

Kamigawa is such a fun set, I absolutely love this release. You get a lovely mixture of Japanese samurai culture with futuristic themes.
