As noted above, I got this to protect a Dell Inspiron 3250. I've never done a shell case like this before on any of my previous laptops, and do continue to commute with my computer in a separate carrying case. This shell is robust and seems to have enough bend to be defensive under pressure rather than hard and brittle. The case snaps along the edges of the body of the laptop on the bottom. Around the screen it snaps to the body, but does not overlap with the screen bezel. Leaves lots of room for the camera and has not upset any of those functions. Along the sides, the ports align well with the case overall. One thing to be aware of is that the plastic piece nearest the HDMI port will make contact with the plastic around the metal cable connector. The cables do however make a complete connection, so don't try to jam it past the shell. You might scratch the case or the cable. The feet on the bottom of the case are sticky on most surfaces. Not as sticky as on the original computer. Jury is out as to whether or not that is a good thing. I was also skeptical about the fold-out feet. After installing the case and flipping them a few times, the joints feel robust. They are spring loaded to fold open and hold their shape, so no surprise half-folded feet slipping out from under your machine. If you move around a lot with your computer, maybe keep them folded in. But when it is time for a long work session it is very comfortable to have a tilted keyboard. Bonus points for improving bottom circulation. Great for letting the fan do its work. The only con so far is that it kind of attracts fingerprints, but honestly its now worse than most laptop bodies. I got mine in black for a black computer so it's very opaque, but I think silver and white computers are supposed to have a more shear appearance. The Dell badge on the back of my laptop is no longer visible. I like my gear as plain as possible, so I don't personally find that to be problematic, but if branding means something to you, you might want to reconsider.

I have a Dell Inspiron 3535 and this fit like a glove. It’s not like super protective like against a fall. But it’s gonna protect from scratches and smudges. I wish they had more colors.

Works well shows fingerprints but keeps it un scratched !

I had a hard time finding a hard shell case for my Inspiron and read on a forum that this case would fit so I gave it a shot and it fits perfectly. A bit heavy but definitely secure and protects my laptop. Only complaint is it shows fingerprints and smudges really easily so just have to wipe it constantly.

Fits my Dell Inspiron 15 3511 perfect. I am a field service technician and use my laptop daily out in the field. This is just what i was looking for, I keep my laptop in my backpack and it the PC was getting pretty scratched up after taking it in and out and using the PC in some rough environments. This is just a nice, inexpensive, Plastic Cover that will protect both the top and bottom of the laptop.

This fit my laptop perfectly and snaps on and off easily. i got it because my laptop got very scratched up and the case hides it completely. It’s two separate pieces which cover the top and bottom. Only downside is fingerprint stains show but they are wiped off easily.

The lid cracked and wouldn't open after 6 months. The company refused to do anything. I wish I'd just bought directly from Dell or tried another brand.
