I assume this is 18" high, 12" wide and 15.5" deep. Is this correct?** A: Actually the "boxey: part of the container is 15-1/2" high and 12" wide. If you measure from the back of the container to the furthest point on the front (bottom of the lid) that is 18-1/2". They just fit under my upper kitchen cabinets. I have two and thought initially that I would stack them, but I have them side by side. There is wasted container space because, if you fill them more that 2/3 full the stuff spills out as the opening is so low. To get around this, when more than 2/3 filled, I set them with the longest side down, and when I use enough that it won't spill it out, I use it as pictured. **Q: Is this container rodent-proof? Meaning, is there any way rodents could chew through this plastic?** A: NO, it is not rodent proof. The lid of mine was partially chewed through, destroying the cover and gasket. My dog scared the squirrels/rats away before they got all the way into the container, but they did make it useless and the next day I had thousands of ants who found their way into the container. Although the company says the lid and/or gasket can be replaced "on line," it is difficult to find the right size. I was not able to find the gasket itself online or at any hardware store. **Q: I am looking to replace the o-ring seal in the lid. Anyone know where I can get one to fit?** A: I need to replace the gasket on my lid too. It took a few years, so I'm still very satisfied with the product. **Q: Has anyone had a problem getting rid of the plastic smell inside?
