Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Pressed Eyeshadow Duos, Natural, Organic Makeup (Cappuccino/Pearl)

Went on great and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin/eye allergies! Got CAPPUCINO/PEARL, following another review who posted swatches on her skin. Mildly, semi-naturally shimmery, can build layers, and comes off reasonably. Just wish they did color trios. Also, have patience on first use. Didn't seem to be coming onto my eyebrush, worried about it being compacted, but it did fine - just part of the more comfortable, silky texture rather than blowing dust everywhere (which helps my allergies, too). Brush just picked up the color subtly and had to layer a bit. Good color for looking "natural yet lightly shimmery." You look made up without looking cartoonish if you blend the colors well. Can't believe I actually felt COMFORTABLE wearing eye shadow for once, rather than itching to take it off! For mascara, I'm currently using Almay's most basic mascara, Brown Black Thickening in the purple tube. Pacifica applied better but eventually started irritating my eyes, too. Good luck!

This eyeshadow is amazing. I am only 11, and I love it! I got the Cappuccino Pearl. The colors are pretty, i especially like the darker one. It applies well, you only need to do 1 maybe two layers, and it shines very nicely. Its not hard, not to crumbly, its amazing. I was looking for a shimmery eyeshadow, but it had to be organic, cruelty free, paragon free and so on. I love this brand, thank you so much! The only thing is, i thought it would be a little bit bigger. Although most eyeshadows are tiny, i just though this one would be a little bit bigger for the price. But overall, i don't mind it, because it lasts a very long time! Thank you for making this eyeshadow and for making it organic and pretty.

The pigment was gorgeous, with just the right amount of light shimmer. But within a week, the pressed eyeshadow began to crumble and fall out in chunks when I lifted the lid. I tried to be very careful with it always, and kept it flat in my drawer, no jostling or dropping. But it's very fragile. Maybe it would be better in a small pot like a loose powder?

I love these two shades together! They are just right for just about every outfit! So neutral and you can make it sultry if you want to go a bit darker. AND they are made from organic ingredients, making them clean and healthy! They go on smoothly and blend well! I ordered another duo and can't wait to get it!

I am back to change my review! I do not like this eye shadow. Way to messy with fallout!!! First off I noticed the smell of it! To be honest this eyeshadow smells like a dog that has been outside. I am not joking. Not sure if I got a old one but it works just fine. Also this is a lot smaller than I expected it to be. The colors are very pretty. Will I buy it again, quite possibly. I do not like large palettes because I ususally only use about 2-3 colors and end up throwing the rest.

I have used Lauren Brooke products for quite a while and have been happy with everything I’ve tried. This duo shadow is so disappointing! The Moon Dust color is great - smooth application and highly pigmented. But the Tanzi (dark) side is so hard that I can’t pull color onto my brush. I have even tried scraping the top of the color to create powder but the result is still very faint color. I have used the loose eye color in Tanzi and loved it so there is definitely something wrong with this duo (maybe old???).

Pretty smoky lavender color but it basically travels into my eyelid crack by the end of the work day and I don't have time to worry about reapplying it so I kind of feel tacky by the end of the day with my oily skin. Also the lighter shade doesn't even rub onto the applicator so it is useless. For the price point, I was super unhappy about this.

I try to use "clean" and organic beauty products that are pretty but natural looking. I like the colors in the Cappuccino/Pearl duo. They have just the right amount of shimmer without being overly dramatic. I am pleased with this eyeshadow duo and would purchase again. The compact is small, but perfect for travel since it does not take a lot of space.
