Martha Stewart's New Old House: Restoration, Renovation, Decoration, Landscaping

This book was sold as "very good condition" and it is exactly that, maybe even better. The cover is very clean and in super condition. It is of coffee table size and original price, but their price was very, very inexpensive for a book of this quality. This would be a great book for anyone interested remodeling or restoring an older home---or anyone who enjoys a "Martha" book which is always full of good information and stunning photos. I would buy from this seller again, definitely!

This book is very detailed with beautiful pictures of Martha's renovation of her first house. No matter what you may hear of her, the book will be very useful if you are renovating an old house. It made me wish that I had taken pictures of my own renovations 14 years ago. I got the book because I still own older houses and may need more advice of how to do repairs.

On one hand I liked seeing step by step how an old run down house was saved and restored (be kind to your handy man and all contractors-- they're heroes) but I really didn't like how Martha kept reminding the readers in what seemed to be every chapter how tacky the previous owner was. That didn't seem particularly kind and it was not necessary to the success of the book.

this is more her personal story of renovating her old house, not a guide to every old house, although it is interesting and inspiring and you're sure to pick up lots of tips for your own property.

This was a birthday gift for my mother, a contractor and designer for the past forty years. She already knew the book but had worn out her copy largely by using it to help her clients understand the processes and possibilities. My mother isn't easy to please, and she requested this book as a keeper.

Beautiful book which I purchased for a dear friend as a present. This book does not tell you how to reno an old home, but shows how Martha renovated one of her beautiful homes. Exquisite photos. Definitely eye candy and full of ideas.
