I bought three Really Big Pencils to lend out to students when they inevitably forget to bring one to class. Yeah, I think I'll also get a kick to watch kids try to write with a pencil as big as their forearm, but after the initial novelty, I'm also hoping that kids would rather remember to bring their own pencil more consistently than have to use this monster pencil. Then the pencils can be used for decoration in the classroom. I wonder how I'll sharpen them...I might ask the shop teacher if he would use a belt sander...Oh!
