Healthy and growing!
My first adventure with Jerusalem Artichokes! These came in good condition and all sprouted and grew fine. I read the first year they might not grow as well as future growth. I planted mine late in the season, but they still grew to just under 5 feet and produced many tubers!

tenacious, healthy bulbs
Ordered at beginning of March. Stored in produce drawer in the fridge. I appreciate the nice packaging that helped to keep adequately moist for extended period without getting soggy or rotting. 2+ months later, planted on Mother's Day in May. I live in St Louis and waited until freeze seemed out of the question. A few nights are still in the 50s and high 40s, and they have tolerated it just fine. All 5 bulbs sprouted within 10 days, with multiple stalks per bulb. These seem easy to grow in a variety of conditions, and I look forward to seeing the flowers and the bulb yield. And how they taste! I have never eaten a sunchoke - just wanted a fun project and to try something new. I planted them in a large pot, because I have heard sunchoke spreads aggressively. Update: these have been really fun to watch grow! They grow FAST - the only thing I have ever seen grow this fast before was amaryllis. For a while, they were literally growing more than an inch per day. A squirrel quickly stole one bulb - I had to protect the base with chicken wire. I think the instructions said "full sun", but I quickly discovered it scorched in full sun, so moved it to where it only gets morning sun and sits in the shade of an oak during the hottest part of the day (I'm in Zone 7a at 38.6* latitude). It was definitely happier there and continued to grow. My remaining 4 plants grew amazingly all summer. I watered frequently, probably 3-4 times a week on average, and every day when it was hot. This fall, the squirrels have destroyed the stalks of all but 1 plant. I plan to attempt to harvest after first frost. I will update again with the yield.

Plump, healthy, clean, and ready to grow
They arrived in good time, in great condition, plump, clean, partially chitted, just perfect. I've got them in a pot in the house. I'll add a pic after the start growing. Lessons learned. Don't put them in the greenhouse, the heat will rot them Place them well out of reach of chickens, squirrels, and anything else that will steal them. My lone survivor is doing great. I put a cage over it to protect it. Definitely buy these they are beautiful.

good start but no flower. waiting for spring to see if it regrows.
the roots germinated and i got a plant, but due to lateness of season the plant did not flower. Waiting for spring to see if it does better.

Great tubers
Arrived i short order, in great shape in a small paper bag with wood shaving as packing. I planted then the next day and here it is about a week and all 5 are starting to sprout. I am looking forward to having these in my garden and the harvest. I would order from this company again.

Good quality
Take them out of the package immediately as leaving them would encourage rot. One of mine had just started to get a teeny bit mushy, but I still planted it and it still produced after careful trimming. I'd buy again. They were in rather good shape in all.

sunchoke tubers never germinated
I bought two bags of the sun choke Each bag contained 3 tubers..I waited until the ground warmed around thre first of may. Iplanted the tubers, and waited. None of the tubers germinated. NADA. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed. And of course it was beyond the date to return or get a refund since I waited until the ground warmed which was 6 weeks after I purchased the sunchokes.
