Good carb, direct replacement for Motorcraft 2150
Read the reviews, bought it with full knowledge of some watch-points - short story is this carburetor has been FANTASTIC! Installed on a '78 F250 with 351cid in June, have been driving it 1-2 days/week (25-30 miles each of those days) and it is still running great! Bought this as the original 2150 had an air leak around the throttle shaft so it was losing vacuum and wouldn't idle without running ugly rich. Reviewed MANY carbs on Amazon and elsewhere, chose this one for the good reviews and references. There was NO issue upon reciept or initial inspection - did pull the airhorn to ensure float was set correctly (it was) and gasket was good, pulled the power valve to inspect and it was good. Adjusted the idle mixture screws and idle per factory 2150. Installation was IDENTICAL to the factory 2150 - ZERO mods required to the carb but I did run power to the electric choke via the Alternator STA terminal (per forums); I just set it on the intake manifold and tightened it down, hooked up all the hoses and cables, and fired up the truck and it ran super-smooth. I WILL start to adjust the idle mixture and idle in the future as it does idle a little high right now, but want to get a few cold months of running before doing so.

The quality will surprise you.
I changed this carburetor in just over an hour. Everything was a great fit and to my surprise it started and ran great. Because of the price, I had my douts, but it turned out to be a great buy. The quality is great for the value.

Great quality for price.
So far so good. Bolted right up, no issue, to my 77 granada 302. Actually surprisingly good quality. Ran the idle air screws out 1.5 turns initially and it is running great. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the good quality, initial run-ability and of course price. The reason I did not give it five stars- the accelerator pump linkage arm, is not exact. Even with the adjustments on it. The accelerator pump is slightly depressed. Just enough to allow the fuel to load up if you are putting around. Which in turn will foul your plugs. I am going to have to get alonger arm and or bend this one . Not sure yet. But a modification will definitely be needed. If you need a inexpensive carb to get you going. This is definitely worth it.

Did I get lucky?
I was skeptical. The price just seemed too good to be true. But I’m impressed. This carburetor is working really well for one month with no problems so far.

Junk - The Power Value In The Carburator Discintegrated In Less Than A Year
I purchased this carburetor in January of 2024 and installed it on my 1983 F-150, which has a 351 Windsor motor in it. For the first two months of using the truck for plowing snow, the motor ran fine. After that though, the motor started to run very rough, and also very rich. Luckily though the snow plowing season was over and the truck was parked. The truck was used lightly over the Summer, but because it was still running very badly it pretty much just stayed parked. I recently started to work on the motor though, to figure out what was going on with it. I sure didn't think the problem could be the "new" carburetor, but I decided to remove it and tear it down anyway. What I found inside was a mess. The bottom of the fuel bowl area where the float and the needle & seat are, was covered with a layer of fine black "stuff". The black stuff was also inside the small port openings that are inside the fuel bowl area. Next, I removed the power valve and I found that the diaphragm in it had literally disintegrated, and that's what all of the black stuff was from. See attached picture. I thoroughly cleaned the carburetor, and then replaced the power valve with a used power valve from another 2150 style carburetor, and that fixed the problem. At least for now. I'm not going to use this carburetor though. I can't trust it. I will be removing this carburetor ASAP and replacing it with one from an entirely different company.

Perfect Replacement for My Ford Engine – Great Performance
The THUNDERMINGO 2 Barrel Carburetor Carb 2100 2150 A800 was an excellent replacement for my Ford 289 engine. Installation was smooth, and it fit perfectly without any modifications needed. The electric choke works flawlessly, and I noticed an immediate improvement in engine response and idle stability. It’s been running great in my 1969 Mustang, and I’ve had no issues with fuel delivery. The carburetor is well-built and delivers consistent performance, making it a great choice for anyone needing to replace their old Motorcraft or Autolite carb. Overall, I’m very pleased with this product, and it’s been a reliable upgrade for my vehicle.

Great carburetor for the money. Be ready for some serious tuning.
This thing works so well that I'm having to relearn how to launch my old CJ7 without barking the tires! Be sure to check the choke thermostat. Mine was 90° out but once I fixed that it worked great. Don't expect to use your heat riser pipe. That just isn't going to work. Also, the idle mixture screws were so closed down I had to close them off then open them 2.5 full turns to get her to idle enough to tune. I would expect this from any new carb.

highly recommend
Great carb, works really well in my old Mustang. In fact, it works as well as the orinal Autolite carb. I'd buy this brand again.

It does not fit a 68 mustang

Had to modify choke to fit, basically had to remove choke assemble all together to fit to standard ford 2 barrel manifold
