Extremely Flavorful!!
Bo Kho is one of my favorite dishes. It’s the perfect mixture of pho and beef stew. It’s basically if pho and beef stew had a beautiful Vietnamese baby. Eventually, I got tired of not only traveling but paying to get it at my local Vietnamese restaurant. A fellow Vietnamese neighbor told me to use as much as I would like but she doesn’t use the whole flavor packet. I opted to use only half the package of flavor and found that was perfect for our family! Not spicy what so ever. My husband, kids, and I tore it up. I will be ordering again and again.

If you want to make the perfect Vietnamese beef stew, this is it. I would highly recommend this package. This is a good deal and can sometimes be hard to find at Asian food stores. I highly recommend. One package can make you several pots beef stew.

I recently started learning to cook Vietnamese food for my family (husband is from Vietnam) and this has come in great hand to make Bo Kho its taste is perfect.

Not the flavor we expected
The flavor was really too mild for us. It started out spicy in the Crock-Pot, but once my wife added the carrots, it lost a lot of spice and flavor. I personally did not cook it, but my wife claimed she followed the recipe. We did end up adding a bit more coconut juice for sweetness, but it wasn't enough to drastically change the flavor.
