Its versatile application methods make it suitable for both hobbyists and professionals, ensuring a smooth finish while being environmentally conscious. ## Description Parr’s Sanding Sealer can be applied before our wax or oil finishes to help seal the wood. The shellac seals and gives open grained wood a smoother finish. It also can protect from stains and adds greater water resistance. Can also be used on plastered walls to seal damp or stained patches. Suitable for sealing mdf. Parr’s sanding sealer is also an effective knot sealer. Can be used on turned wood. Preparation All unfinished wood pieces should be prepared by sanding before applying our sanding sealer and then remove all dust particles. Sanding will reduce surface scratches on the wood which will minimize drying time and will also provide a more even sheen. We recommend finishing with 320 grit or higher prior to application of our sanding sealer. Application Apply a thin even coat to the wood with a lint free cloth, brush or sprayed .Leave to dry for 30mins and gently sand with 320g sand paper as the grain will raise slightly. Apply second coat for best results and again sand lightly. You are now ready to apply our oils or waxes. For stained or damp patches on plastered walls apply liberally. We recommend 3 coats, then apply paint finish. Shading of sanding sealer can change due to variations in shellac flakes, this does not effect performance. ## Features - Shellac water based sanding sealer - Ideal for sealing wood prior to appyling oils and waxes - Voc free - contains no alcohol or solvent - can be used for woodturning - Apply by brush, cloth or spray ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08GZGVRYS | | Best Sellers Rank | #148,038 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #735 in Hardware Sealers | | Brand Name | Parr's | | Color | clear | | Compatible Material | Engineered Wood, Wood | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (434) | | Item Form | Spray | | Item Weight | 0.28 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Parr's | | Material Type | Resin | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | 7110627092753 | | Style Name | Compact | | Surface Recommendation | Wall | | Unit Count | 250.0 Milliliters | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Parr's - **Item weight:** 0.28 Kilograms - **Material:** Resin - **Style:** Compact - **Water resistance level:** Water Resistant ## Images ![Parr's Sanding Sealer - 250ml - voc Free- Water Based - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31e8rXdvs9L.jpg) ![Parr's Sanding Sealer - 250ml - voc Free- Water Based - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61rxOMf9iJL.jpg) ![Parr's Sanding Sealer - 250ml - voc Free- Water Based - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41gt1AwVPPL.jpg) ![Parr's Sanding Sealer - 250ml - voc Free- Water Based - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41ztTrgBiAL.jpg) ![Parr's Sanding Sealer - 250ml - voc Free- Water Based - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41Xqskxvh0L.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - Sanding Sealer - 250ml - voc free- water based - Liberon Steel Wire Wool 0000 Ultra fine - 1 Meter Pack - Parr's French Polish - Water Based - Voc free - 100% natural - 250ml - clear finiah --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kr/products/412364038-parrs-sanding-sealer-250ml-voc-free-water-based](https://www.desertcart.kr/products/412364038-parrs-sanding-sealer-250ml-voc-free-water-based) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Korea* *Store origin: KR* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
