Awesome little mini split ac for my camper van.
Works perfectly after installation! It is easy to install. I had to get rid off the red cage and installed separate items in separate locations underneath my camper van. But once done it works perfectly as advertised! Will try to buy a separate compressor as a reserved item for future replacement.

Works fine for a few weeks
Unit worked normally for a few weeks. All of a sudden it started drawing almost twice as much wattage as normal (1200w vs 750w) and started popping fuses. I've checked all of my connections, and replaced the fuse a few times (which is only 60a). I will note that the power cable that comes with it is rather small for the load and heats up quite a bit while in operation. EDIT: I want to point out that the increase wattage pull I'm seeing at my battery is likely due to resistance in the power wire provided by the manufacturer. The included positive and negative power cables are too small in diameter to meet the 75A draw. 75A requires at least a 4 gauge cable. This is why the power cable gets so hot, which creates even more resistance, requiring even more amperage from the battery to meet the requirements of the AC unit. The wire gets so hot it causes my 24v-12v converter to shut down due to high temp-shutoff.

WORKING GREAT
Just finished installing this unit in a 1991 Kenworth T600. The semi has factory AC but is in disrepair and this seemed like the easier route to keep my driver happy. Install was straight forward. I rented a vacuum pump/gauge set from AutoZone. Air is cold, and driver is happy. Cant ask for much more. Thanks!

Doesn’t work during the day
It only works at night when the sun is down.. during the day it struggles and doesn’t cool the cab of my Toyota Tacoma. This would have been a marvelous product but I guess the quality just isn’t there. I waited a few years to write this review. A window unit would be much better but mounting options are limited and there would also be figment issues too. Edit: so I got a window unit at Walmart! Specifically the Midea 5000 BTU for $144! So just make a chute of black plastic and duct tape it to the opening of the Tacoma back sliding window and the front of the air conditioner unit and you’re golden! It cools the cab super fast! Works like a beast during the day too. I guess the way that window units operate are just a lot more efficient by recirculating the air, instead of blowing air on cold coils.

Easy self installation, however….
They sent the wrong hose connection with the first unit I purchased. Amazon support was useless and so were my local ac companies and even hydraulic hose providers. I ended up ordering a second unit and the correct connection was in the new unit. Update: After initially leaving this review, the seller contacted me and has offered to ship the correct hose connections and a small amount of money for my inconvenience. The unit has done well since installation. Only time will tell for longevity and reliability.

Best AC Unit
Hello; im a vanlifer and during the summer months its freaking hot in my van. Even at night sometimes when my maxx air fan deluxe is worki g at full power. I needed something else to cool me off than pull unwanted mosquitoes in my van.....lol So, i purchased this ac unit and was finally able to install it after my medical issues were temporarily fixed. After some minor fabrication to installing the pump right-side up under my van; i must say this ac unit looks freaking awsome. I powered it up and it sounded good and instantly i knew i made a good investment. Here are some some helpful pics of what i had to do just in case anyone wanted to learn how to install it under their van outta sight like me.

Save Your Money!DONT BUY
Should give a 0 rating .Installed this unit exactly how instructed , had an AC mechanic drain and fill with a professional machine , still comes out like a fan, no cold breezes at all , installed an over powered inverter to make sure it is not receiving to low power after the batteries of the dually didn't even fix the issue of E01 popping up if you increase the speed . At which point I went to an rv mechanic and they checked it all out saying the power should be fine and could not fix the problem. Other than that the plastics are all cracking and decomposing . I wish I never bought this unit .

The remote control stopped working after less than 1 week of use. I can only operate the a/c with the main control on the unit. I am very disappointed. I don’t know how to resolve this issue. I bought a universal remote controller and it will not synchronize with the AC unit so now I don't know if it is the remote controller or control unit that is not functioning. Is there any way to get CUSTOMER SUPPORT?
