Kutztown Soda Works used to produce this drink from the root of the sassafrass tree and today is made from high quality extractives and pure cane sugar. This rich and bubbly soda, one of the best ways to ward off summertime heat that we know of, has more than once been our best selling Kutztown product and always ranks right up there in the top tier. All while being caffeine-free!

Sarsaparilla is not banned. Safrole, an oil component in the pure extracts, is banned. This recipe has the extract of sassafras that has had the safrole removed.
