Gold BJJ Headgear for Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, and MMA

I was worried about having a hard time getting my head out of holds but this headgear fits snug and is low profile while protecting my ears. The ability to adjust the straps makes it a perfect fit and it gets even better the longer you use it. The strap around the neck is comfortable too and I don’t even realize it’s on when I am rolling. I would buy it again.

I bought this headgear specifically because of the strap around the top of the head, and the softer material by the ears for my 8 year old wrestler. It stays put really nicely and my son says it is very comfortable. My only complaint is I wish it could adjust for a smaller head size. My son's head seems to be too big for the options for youth headgear and too small for the adult size headgear. But I think next year it will fit better, and then it will be perfect! Overall happy with this purchase.

It does a great job protecting my ears and its low profile. It doesn’t bother my jiujitsu opponents either. The chin strap is a little short and there isn’t enough Velcro so I have to pull it tight which kinda chokes me, but it’s manageable.

I wanted to like this product, but it just wasn't good for jiu jitsu. Fit and sizing was awkward, and the chin strap is not comfortable to roll hard in. I highly recommend getting a standard wrestling headgear instead—which will last much longer than this product.

Ayuda a cuidar bastante las orejas, y si ya te están doliendo te alivia bastante el dolor al momento de los combates. Para el que no esta acostumbrado, como es en mi caso, va a incomodar la correa, pero te terminas acostumbrando.

Bad quality material and stitching. Chin strapped ripped off with no effort while trying it on for the first time right out of the bag. Not one roll was seen by this headgear. Will stick to old school headgear from now on

Picked this up for jiu jitsu while I had some ear issues. The headgear was easy to adjust to fit my head. I could hear but sounds were muffled which is to be expected. I didn’t have any issues with headgear wanting to come off my head even when opponent was trying a guillotine choke. My only small complaint is the chin strap if someone got their arm around my neck just right it would dig the buckle in for some discomfort but being choked isn’t exactly comforting. That is why I say small complaint. Protected my ears like it should.

Headgear felt good and comfortable, unfortunately the durability may be an issue. I've trained with it a few times and the velcro is detaching from the headgear making it unusable.

I bought this guard cos from bjj I started to develop cauliflower ear. It caused so much pain that it was disturbing my trainings, so I decided to try out this guard. For me it works perfectly both for drills and rolls. Although, it does restrict hearing a bit, so you need to move closer to your trainer to hear him/her. I am bold so it fits perfectly tight and it didn’t shift during rolling. The one thing I would recommend though, is to set it up before training, because for me it took a bit of fiddling to find the perfect setting. Overall, I did recommended this to the lads in the club and I am 100% recommending it to everyone for BJJ. I would buy it again without hesitation.

This company is grapplers making products for grapplers. Easy to get on and works great. I was getting painful cauliflower ear and it protected the ear so I could continue training! Very pleased with this product and company!

Es muy bueno, soy bastante sensible a la oreja de coliflor y esto me ha protegido bastante. Tus compañeros del gimnasio muy probablemente te van a hacer bullying pero te acostumbras.

Just ordered a second set of these ear guards. First set is still being used 3 times a week, just wanted a second set for higher volume training weeks. I don’t have any negative comments about the ear guards after years of use. They do what they are intended to do, stopped my cauliflower ear from progressing further. They’re comfortable. Fairly easy to adjust, and should fit most people. The negative comments I’ve read I don’t believe actually represent the product well. If you’re looking for a comfortable bjj appropriate set of ear guards, these are a solid choice. Very happy with them.
