Recommended and worth trying
This could be one of those supplements that you take and you don’t actually realize the benefits, until you either run out or forget to take them with you when you travel. I had a friend recommend this after she forgot to take it with her on a trip, and realized a difference. I have been taking this for about a month and can definitely tell a difference in how I feel. It’s worth trying.

Works.
Works, but I would need two a day for proper inflammation control. Its a pity that max dosage is only one. Equal relief to a 200 mg Celebrex for me.

Does anyone else get an energy surge from 5-lox
I've had hip issues for years. I couldn't sleep on any side for long before my hip would ache. I started taking 5-lox in hopes it would help another issue so I was focused on how well it was working for that. It took me a week to before I realized that my hips no longer ached and I didn't have morning stiffness in my legs and feet. The issue I was hoping to resolve was for inflammation of my nasal cavity. I added Quercetin and nettle to it and it completely cleared in a month but my hips and morning stiffness resolved in a week. I also noticed that if I take it at night I won't sleep. I have been looking to see if that was common but I haven't seen it anywhere as a side effect. I take it in the morning I get a little buzz of energy but again I haven't seen anywhere that that is supposed to happen. I love this stuff.

Advanced Boswelia for arthritis- Use in combination with Turmeric and Glucosamine/MSM
I am a retired pharmacist, having worked in the pharmaceutical industry. My approach to personal heath has been to follow the preventative route i.e. be proactive. A goal has been to ensure that all the systems of the body are maintained in a good condition as I age. “You want to AVOID taking the car (the body) to the garage (meaning a Doctor) for repairs”. My interest has always been to seek Nutritional supplements of very good quality, in terms of benefits and well as the quality of manufacture, with preference for Vegetarian products. Nutritional supplements are not as well-regulated, (or minimally regulated) as Prescription Drugs. Nutritional Supplements usually carry a label like… ‘These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA…..’ meaning they have not passed the rigor or scrutiny of the FDA. Be careful what you choose. Consequently, I take several carefully selected supplements daily as a part of the approach to maintaining good health. This product is a part of the ‘Pill Box of Supplements’. I am very satisfied with this approach and it has helped me significantly. Best wishes to the reader for long life and good health. This is advanced Boswelia. Works very well for arthritis or inflammation.

Beware of side effects
I have tried 5-LOXIN from several different companies, including Life Extension. Life Extension, in my opinion, makes fantastic, high quality products. My review here is not for Life Extension but for 5-LOXIN. Yes, it appears to have a potent anti-inflammatory effect by blocking an enzyme involved in generating pro-inflammatory immune messengers. However, in my experience, it also caused me very significant depression within a few days. Granted, this is anecdotal, but it's important to know that not everyone gets just the benefits of a product like this without negatives. It's possible that the depression reflects some shift in immune function that ultimately would be positive if I stuck with it. But that seems too risky to me without some evidence to suggest it's true. So, be careful here. If it seems to trigger depression, my advice is to stop and look at other options, even something as simple as enteric coated bromelain from Life Extension or, if you think you have inflammation in the brain, look at something like Luteolin in LutiMax or other products.

Not sure how much it helps - but good option to Solgar 7
Did loads research on supplements that help with pain management. Learned about 5Loxin and tried Solgar seven. That was the only supplement I found that had - it that was about a year ago. It’s extremely expensive and duplicative many the other supplements that I already take. I am so glad I found the stand-alone ingredient. I like that it is backed by actual scientific research and not just random claims by the company that sells it. I’ve only been taking the supplement about a month (the stand-alone version), so I don’t know yet how much it helps with pain. I take two other supplements that help tremendously with pain and I’m hoping to just get a better spectrum of coverage to help me sleep through the night.
