New Favorite BUJO Notebook (Great with Fountain Pens)
For about two years my go to Notebook for Journalers/Planners was a Dingbat. I wanted to try something new. I had always heard Midori came highly rated for fountain pen users. So, I decided to give it a try. I am very happy I did. Dingbats are great for Fountain Pens, as in they don't bleed or feather. Midori has that and really shows off the characteristic of the inks similar to Tomoe River paper. But I've never been a fan of Tomoe River paper because of how thin and flimsy the paper is. Midori paper is tough. Another plus that I didn't think would be a plus, was that the notebook comes unbounded. This allows the notebook to truly lay flat and allows for an excellent writing experience. I bought a cover the notebook and I think that has gone a long way in protecting the spine. There are no page numbers which would be nice. But has never been a deal breaker for me.To summarize I now have a new go to notebook.

Premium Midori Notebook
Lays flat, the premium paper (dot grid), paper color is their standard color (same as the outside of the notebook), the binding is exceptional, did I mention it lays flat? The only con was with the delivery, not the product itself. They dropped and dented a corner, luckily it was the edge that tears away so I didn't return it but it's something to keep in mind!

Excellent
I still have not found any combination of fountain pen/ink that would feather or bleed. And the paper is thick enough that has no shading.I really like Midori paper.

Not what I puchased
So, I am familiar with this item. I love this journal. What was advertised was a dotted 300 plus notebook. What I received was 100 plus dotted notebook. False advertisement… yes… am I going to make a complaint about the seller? Yes.

The best for a journal
I got this for Christmas and have been using it as a page-per-day journal. I really like the pages, they’re off-white and lightly dotted. Nothing has bled through so far, even using acrylic paint markers and sharpie. The binding makes the pages lay flat which was a big plus for me. I highly recommend this!

Too Thick for Comfortable Writing
The MD paper is very fountain pen friendly and I love the dot grid format, but this notebook is too thick to write in comfortably. The idea of having more pages is very appealing at first because I write a lot, but in reality the first quarter and last quarter of this notebook are difficult to write in because of the uneven writing surface.Unless you absolutely have to keep a lot of information in one single notebook, I would NOT recommend this one over the regular.
