Just like the original but with a lock
Got it for my old dodge V10 2500 that didn't have a locking cap and the cap wasn't sealing all the way so I bought this and it works perfect. It's been on a while now and no engine light or issue with the key when unlocking. Wanted a lock because I caught a teenager trying to siphon gas out of it so I figured I'd do this instead of the alternative of what I wanted to do. My wife never let's me have fun.

Rising prices
Good product since gas prices are on the rise and people get desperate and syphon gas tanks

Works well
Must be locked all the time. Would prefer if it could be left unlocked sometimes.

Not perfect but does the job
Works small issue with the little flap thing where the key goes sticks some times and its a pain to get the key inserted but other then that I like it.

Defective
Inserted the cap into my Jeep's intake and gave it a test twist to see how well it resisted opening when locked. The locking mechanism broke immediately, and the cap itself twisted right out. To further compound my annoyance, this cap busted up a sensitive item I ordered alongside it during its delivery, an inconvenience I would've overlooked if it had worked. Maybe this item works for others - my intake is a bit more rusty than I'd like - but I'm never ordering this thing again.

Before I had my car, I thought it had a button in the dash panel to open the fuel cap, but it didn't, so I decided to buy this locking fuel cap. However, while the original fuel cap has a hook attached to the inside panel of the fuel cap cover, this locking fuel cap doesn't have it. Every time I fill the gas, I have to put the fuel cap on the tonneau cover of my truck or hold it in my hand. So I decided to make a hole using a drill, as the original one has, and as you can see in the photo, it's hung on the fuel cap cover.

Bought this for my Ram 1500, was always a bit tricky to use but after a few months I pulled up at the pump to fill up, fuel needle was in the red so not many miles left in the tank, and it wouldn’t unlock, after struggling with it for a few minutes a queue was building up behind me, the top fell off leaving the base still attached to the truck f###!!!!!! My ring piece was now twitching like a rabbits nose. Finally managed to get what was left of the cap off and filled my tank, luckily I still had the original fuel cap in the truck so I refitted that. This fuel cap is junk, spend your money on something else.

Works as hoped. Hopefully it will keep the little buggers that drained our tank the day I filled it! Hope they got a few good mouthfuls when siphoning the gas!

It worked well for a month and now I can't lock it. Seems to be very cheap and flimsy.
