Are the socks Hot in summer? I am going hiking in July.

I've only worn them on cold rainy Oregon days while running. Feet never have felt hot but have been sweaty during 10-15 mile runs which I think comes from socks not being breathable enough for that amount of activity in 90-120 minutes.

How are these for skiing? I've used all different types of of ski socks but my toes get extremely cold due to poor circulation.
