How much time between coats?** A: You can do the next coat in as little as 2 hours but 4 hours is the suggested time. **Q: Do you have to sand the wood first?** A: Yes you will need to sand the wood to 220 grit sandpaper befor filling pores with pore filler once pores are filled sand again to 320 then either spray or brush on Crystalac. I lightly sand between each coat for better adherence. **Q: Do I need to use a tumbler turner?** A: A turner will give the best results, as the drip method usually leaves it a little thicker by the rim, however it is possible to hang dry tumblers if you are diligent about sanding between coats after allowing those coats to completely dry. ## Frequently Bought Together - CrystaLac Brite Tone Polyurethane Instrument Finish, High Solids Non-Yellowing Super-Hard & Scratch Resistant Clear Coat for Musical Instruments, for Wood Metal Plastic & Glass, 8-Fl.Oz., Clear Gloss - CrystaLac Glitter Glue Adhesive Permanent Bonding Non Toxic Water-Based for Adhering & Sealing Crafts, Non-Yellowing with No VOCs, Bonds to Metal Glass Plastic Ceramic Fabric & More, 12-Fl.Oz., Clear - Paper Mate InkJoy Black Gel Pens Medium Point (0.7 mm) Comfort Grip 10 Count Fast Dry Ink Ideal for Smooth Writing --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kr/products/421352071-crystalac-brite-tone-high-solids-polyurethane-instrument-finish-8-oz](https://www.desertcart.kr/products/421352071-crystalac-brite-tone-high-solids-polyurethane-instrument-finish-8-oz) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Korea* *Store origin: KR* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
