Maxcatch Waterproof Fly Box for Fly Fishing Double Sided Foam Insert(1PC, Easy Grip Foam)

I'm a fly fisher with 20 years experience. I gave this as part of a present to a novice fly fisher. I filled the box with flies (mix of wet and dry), so it acted as both a gift, and as a gift box. The foam held the flies well, and it didn't tear as I repositioned the flies. It is solid, and is big enough to handle a day or two's worth of fly patterns/colors. I did not test how good the seal was. I hope I get some feedback soon from the user though! For something like this, I might add the tiniest amount of silicone grease around the edge, just for added insurance. I would also let it dry out after a day of use, so moisture doesn't get trapped inside (which just means it's doing its job). Overall, I think this is a good investment for holding your flies.

Good case that keeps fly's dry. Only down side is that it is bulky.

These spinner/fly boxes work as advertised. Good quality, easy to open and close and they stay dry Inside if you drop them in water.

I now have several of these fly boxes. There is quite a bit of room for mostly all types and sizes of flies. The only problem I have is trying to fit all the boxes in my vest.

LIke most things from Maxcatch, it is a cheap knock-off of a better designed and built product. The latch barely catches to hold it closed. The silicone seal is very small. The hinge is cheap. I guess I knew this would be case when I purchased it, and the only reason I purchased it is because it happens to be a size that I needed. Otherwise, I would have purchased from another company.
