Surprisingly good. Have not peeled or slid out of place.
I bought a pack of these a few months as I had a number of shoes that had failing fabric at the back. I guess I should really be using a shoe horn. Anyway, I figured these were worth a shot since the shoes otherwise had a lot of life left in them. I was a little skeptical and figured these would peel off relatively soon, but they've held up in both my running shoes that I use for 5K nearly every day, and also in my high top hiking boots that are my normal shoes apart from my dress shoes. Installation was easy, just wipe the shoe clean (I used cheap vodka on a piece of cloth) and then just peel and stick. Granted, I've been a little more careful taking my shoes on and off now that I have these on there, but they have not peeled or slid one bit, and they are comfortable and don't result in any unusual feeling. They aren't exactly breathable other than having a slightly textured surface, but despite vigorous activity I have not had any issues with sweat building up or anything like that. Although I do always wear socks. I'm writing this review as I return to buy another set for some other older shoes that I now only use for yard work.

The product works really well. It's pretty durable and the color is a very black. I did use a hairdryer to apply heat

Does the work, annoying and hard to insert
They are pretty good at preventing my big toe from tearing the show, or just covering a hole that is there. The size is good, and once they are in you barely feel them. I gave it 4 start since inserting them is very annoying. They keep getting stuck on my fingers, folding in or just stick to the wrong place. Since I need them for where my big toe is, that’s very annoying and I had to throw a few away since they became un usable. Took several tries to get it in.

Great Product!!
I had some expensive SRmax work shoes. It was one of those deals where I used it very little but for some reason it wore out on the heel. These shoes look brand new except for that wear. I don't think they're too big maybe the design with the big area in the back, nevertheless it was just uncomfortable. So I searched heel repair on Amazon and found this product. I ordered the set that has two different sizes. Now here are some tips, if you have a removable sole remove it. Try and smooth out flat the torn material in your shoes and keep it flat. So if you have to glue it down slightly do so, or trim it. I put the patch on there first without peeling the adhesive protective film and once I knew exactly how I wanted it I took the film off and applied it in one shot carefully rubbing it across so it's smooth and no wrinkles. On one shoe I use the small one and on the other shoe I had to use the larger one. On the larger one I got it on there just a little and had to lift it and reset it because I didn't line it up just right. I had to do this twice. Finally it was on where it should be and I rubbed it flat. Once it's on reinsert your soles. I think ideally you want the top of the patch to be under that round lip of the shoe, and the bottom of the patch to be as far down to the base of the shoe so when you reinsert the sole it covers it and helps keep it in place. The material is also easy to trim with a pair of scissors to make any custom shape you want however it's better to have more material covering the damaged area so it sticks better. As you can see, it looks perfect. Without shining a light on it you wouldn't tell it's there because it's all black. I can't feel it in my shoes and it has the same texture as the original one. After a week of everyday use, it it still looks perfect. I don't know what others are saying about the adhesive as it's very sticky and sticks great. You'll only have one shot to get it right in most cases. All I can say is make sure it's dry and clean and you should have no problem. I highly recommend it. If I have any pairs of shoes that are expensive or I even think that the heels are going to rub, I'm putting them on just as a protective layer. Update, 4 months and still stuck on good! Even went thru the wash and dryer! Now note, the shoes NEED to be clean! Glue down the remaining torn material before applying the patch, trim off any loose remaining material, then place patch. Use a larger patch for larger areas. If it doesn't overlap it sufficiently it won't work well. I'm very impressed. Placed them as I've stated on a new expensive pair of Brooks sneakers. I'm placing these on any new shoes I even think it may wear out on the heal, it's cheap insurance.

did not fix my problem long-term
They did not stick well to fabric lined shoe, and just rumpled up with use. work okay for a short, one wear use, but are not long-term fix.

Lifesavers for extending the life of my sneakers
These patches are a lifesaver! The insides of my sneakers always tend to rip while the shoe itself is still useable. These patches extend the life of my shoes and fix this problem. The thickness is good so that they don't tear and the adhesive goes on strong. The edges of the patches do tend to lose their stickiness after a while but the patch itself remains in place. There is also a plentiful amount of patches with this product which I appreciate- 4 pairs of various size patches, which can also be cut down into more for smaller tears.

Recovered my hiking shoes!
The heel counters of my Keene low hiker shoes were breaking down and poking me through the material. After removing the shoe insole, the fractured plastic parts and cleaning the sock fuzz out of the area the shoe was ready for the patch. The adhesive on these is Very sticky so once you put it somewhere in the shoe it will stay. If you peel it up to reposition, it won’t stay in place the second time. I held a slight roll in the patch, so that it would more conform to the shape of the back of the shoe, pressed it into place and held it for a moment. Some adhesive gets stronger if left alone for a bit. I don’t know if this patch is that way, but the patch hasn’t peeled or wrinkled in the week or so of wearing the shoe when I left it overnight before wearing. The shoes are wearable and comfortable again! There are sufficient patches to do at least 2pair of shoes with extra pieces. I’ve done 2 pairs and both are comfortable again.

Patched up the holes in my joggers heels and were thin enough not to feel them.

Poor quality stickers, they come off quickly and get stuck in your socks
