**Q: Does this come with the surface scratch prevention disks?**
A: Yes, any purchase after January 1, 2019 now includes a set of surface scratch protection disks.

**Q: Is it safe to have this in same bag as my laptop ??**
A: The magnets are cup magnets which directs the magnetic field in one direction.  If you were to put this in the same bag with the magnets facing away from your laptop its perfectly safe.  It’s no different then when your laptop is sitting on it during use.

**Q: What is the distance between the upper and lower magnets?**
A: 10 inches.

**Q: Does a laptop still sit good on the utility model? I am looking for a model that has the best of both worlds.**
A: Yes, both models have a 12" x 12" workspace and can support a laptop, but the Utility MagBench model is best for dual purpose - with tools or a laptop.  If you would like added protection to keep your laptop secure, you could attach our Security Strap Kit accessory to Velcro your laptop to the MagBench.

The magnets are strong! Need full double hand strength to get it off which is exactly what you want for something like this. Very happy - sure u pay a bit more vs cheaper options but sometimes it’s better to pay for peace of mind
