The Middleman 34OTH is a part of our new Heritage Series family. Featuring top quality D2 Steel blades, nickel silver pins and bolsters and laminate wood handle this knife will be passed on for generations.

Review: Great looking and feeling cheap knife - When I first opened it up I realized it’s a little smaller than I pictured it in my mind, but that’s on me. I just didn’t put much thought into the measurements. I measured it myself with a ruler at home out of boredom and everything was completely accurate. So it’s pretty dang small, but not comically tiny or anything. For what I wanted to use it for it’s a perfect size really. I wanted a folding knife I could throw in my pocket wherever I’m going that could handle some whittling should I feel like it when I’m somewhere other than my house. Less than $30 with D2 tool steel blades and one of them being a sheep’s foot, easy choice. Time will tell of course, but my first impressions tell me I’ll get more than enough use out of this knife to feel like it was money well spent. All 3 blades came pretty sharp right out of the box. I tested them all on some basswood right after opening and it felt just as smooth as any of my dedicated whittling knives. I’ll probably hone them just a little before my next project, but even if I decided not to I think they would do just fine as they are. Flipping the blades in and out everything feels super firm and sturdy. I’ve already dropped it on the ground a couple times and it’s completely unaffected. This knife also just looks awesome. Wood grain on the handle is stunning and in my opinion this thing just has an overall classy look. For being so inexpensive I would say it punches well above its weight class.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What's not to love?

I finally pulled the trigger and got one last week and I love it! I have the Bruin in the heritage series and I was wanting a matching stockman to go with it. The fit and finish is great, the walk and talk is good once I cleaned the pivots out, but I'm really picky. The edge grinds are fairly even, but quite rough. Being D2, the blades took quite a bit of work to get them up to my standards (polished edge and as sharp as a scalpel, mind you I'm really picky). I knew the spey blade was replaced with a pen blade, but I didn't know that the sheepsfoot blade was replaced by a wharncliffe blade and the blades actually have half stops! They're not as tight as my RR knives, but they're there. Now, I don't know if this is a defective grind or OT's version of a wharncliffe, but the edge grind actually curves up like a mild sickle. Whatever it is, this curve acts like a reverse belly and is a wicked slicer! All in all, I'm really happy I bought this knife and I look forward to using for years to come!
