An epic fantasy adventure. It takes an excellent writer to make me want to read an entire series. I enjoyed it every bit as much as Thieves' World, Lord of the Rings, and Wheel of Time. It is faster paced, but still establishes a living, breathing world with well developed characters.

Purchased this for my ex husband for Christmas who was a huge fan of the Witcher video games. He said the books are slightly different but they are a great read and are highly recommended for fans if the Witcher franchise especially if you love to read and want more background on the characters.

Buen libro, buena trama :)

I am aware they are not the novels like the five here, however, I feel the “complete” nature of this product isn’t true. I found out online some other countries include at least one more, the Last Wish collection of short stories, in their “complete” bundle. So I feel that the excuse of the short story books not being included because they aren’t written the same way is a cop out for distribution. They sell two in a set just like these, and the third not included here, technically the eighth book, on its own right here on Amazon too. I think that is lazy and potentially an excuse to get more out of us. Not a shocker in today’s economic climate. The books themselves are fantastic, so four stars is warranted. I don’t like it when a naysayer likes the books but hates one aspect and makes the review only about a small flaw or something, so I won’t do that. But hopefully this can inform someone. The first books to read are The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny, which is sold as a duo here as well with the same covers and in a box set. Season of Storms, the eighth book, to be read last, is on its own.

If you are interested in the Witcher series this book set is for you! The box set is lovely and packaged beautifully. Great series and is absolutely captivating. You can get lost in this world for hours with no sense of time.

The show is awesome, but the books are better.

i already had the short-stories books so i got the series of novels. but if you want the full set of everything, it is available too. very happy with this. came in good shape and book 1 is really engaging so far. i am into it
