As someone working from home for a long period of time, I needed to improve lighting over my computer. Existing home lighting did not allow me to comfortably work at my computer for long periods of time. I needed a light that allowed me to read my computer screen easily, but not tax my eyes. I thought I'd try the BenQ Gold Genie E-Reading LED Desk Lamp for it's recommended eye-care capabilities. It does what it says, and has made my long days at a computer keyboard more tolerable. I look forward to using it for needlework and crafts as well. I sincerely recommend this product for everyday use especially for glasses wearers like me.

No way to plug in. Apparently the company was unwilling or unable to send the adapter alone, so I have to return the entire lamp to Amazon (free) and get a replacement. For an item this high-end, this is a silly mistake. (Yes, I carefully scoured all of the packaging...not there.) Also it has a rather prominent, "see me!" look on the desk...like having an entire sports car sitting there. Not at all delicate or sinking into the background like the Z-lamp (which I actually prefer but now has more than doubled in price).

Sure, it's more expensive, but it's totally worth it. It's like a sky light right above your work - not too bright to glare off shiny objects, it sheds the perfect amount of illumination to see every detail. Have used it for drawing, sewing, computer work, reading - very happy with the purchase and it's fun to show off how it works. Thoughtfully designed, nice details. Would definitely buy again.

I bought the lamp at sale price. Good quality lamp, I was impressed with at how well the touch controls work It was. It was a Good purchase.

I had ordered a GOLD lamp,but received a BLUE one.I didn't change it. I love the gold color.
