Scalp Detox Tonic – Rosemary Apple Cider with Salicylic Acid for Clarifying and Purifying Itchy, Dry Scalp, Vegan & Cruelty-Free, 5 oz

I have been dealing with build-up that has become constant and more like seborrheic dermatitis that will turn into sores if I try to exfoliate it off my scalp. I had tried "calm scalp" and it helped, but it was more treatment than preventative and had a strong vinegar scent that took a bit to dissipate. In addition to that, it was feeling impossible to condition my hair in a way if felt smooth and didn't tangle when I moved. I have straight, THICK, hair down past my waist (top of butt crack really) and I was afraid something was changing that was gonna lead to having to cut my hair or even hair loss (family history of alopecia). Doctor said allergies, changed my shampoo and conditioners to their recommended and no changes. Spent a lot of time exfoliating my scalp, carefully washing and drying my hair, not using anything that potentially added to my scalp. But a day or two and my scalp was a wreck again. We have HARD water. Everything in our shower is coated in white from the lime. We haven't been able to add a filter due to the type of plumbing currently installed and it wasn't my first thought about my scalp and hair until my aunt pointed out the difference in her hair/skin when she washed it in hard VS soft water. ONE USE AND IT WAS MAGICAL. My scalp was so clear. No build up, no crumblies, no flakes, no sores, no itching. And it smelt wonderful. The rosemary and mint were refreshing, small vinegar hint but does not bother me at all. AND MY HAIR WAS REVIVED! Smooth, shiny, tame, no rough patches, and I didn't use any other shampoo or conditioner in that wash. I managed to get about two and a half rinses from the bottle and I may have used more than needed in the first one. I am subscribing to this and only this because of the magic it provided me and saved my scalp and hair.

I no longer have dandruff or a flaky scalp. I use this twice a week in the shower. I leave it on for about 10-15 minutes after shampooing then rinse it off. It doesn't tingle and it leaves my scalp feeling extra clean and fresh.

I recently started developing build up on my scalp especially around my hair line. I really love my shampoo so didn't want to change that, so I decided to try this, I already know I love this brand so it was an easy choice. It worked SO well!!!! My hair and scalp has never felt more clean!!

This review is for the scalp detox. I have been suffering from itchy scalp, falling hair, and kinda like a wet dog smell even right after shampooing. I get flakes and oily hair after just a couple days after washing my hair. I tied this for the first time tonight. I was kinda skeptical at first because it didn’t come with a seal. It was just open. I did a spot test just to make sure that it is not fake or tempered with. Went ahead and applied a generous amount on my scalp and massaged it a little bit, more like pressing it on my scalp and waited 5 minutes. The liquid has a mild sweet scent and is colored greenish. I felt it tingle a tiny bit on the 3 minute mark. Hopped in the shower after my 5 mins is up. Rinsed it thoroughly and used my normal shampoo and conditioner. I can feel my hair is smoother like it’s cleaner but not squeaky. More moisturized. Probably from the apple cider vinegar. I have done the rinse before and noticed my hair felt the same when I did it. Fast forward 3 hours now and I don’t smell the wet dog scent. I don’t feel my scalp itch but I do see some flakes around my temple. I still have e to figure out how many times a week I need to use this to be effective but I can’t wait to use it again on my next shampoo day (I wash my hair 3x a week). Docking 1 star because it didn’t come with a temper seal.

I LOVE this product, but I DO NOT want to have to subscribe to Whole Foods to buy it. Amazon, stop this!! The last time I ordered it from Amazon it was NOT through Whole Foods.
