Update Mar 2017: I have continued to use this collagen on a daily basis, as have my parents (mid-70's). My mother, who has suffered from terrible arthritis pain in her hands, particularly during the winter months, realized she was practically pain-free during this very cold, wet winter. I, too, continue to enjoy the benefits of this product. My hips don't bother me, my hair and nails are both thicker, and the fine lines around my eyes have filled in. I did try a less-expensive product and over the course of a month, noticed a change in my nails. I switched back to Natural Force and am more than happy paying a few extra dollars for this quality product. This works for us! I am a 53-year-old woman, not particularly active, and have age-appropriate aches, pains and skin issues. I had read about the benefits of collagen protein and decided to give it a try. I chose Natural Force Collagen Protein because of its sourcing and commitment to quality and service. This product dissolves easily in my coffee and is basically tasteless. It adds a creamy texture which is slightly noticeable but not unpleasant in any way. I have used it for 6 weeks, once a day, I can say that there is a definite improvement in the texture and appearance of my skin, my hair is thicker, and my nails are stronger. Even better, I am not "creaky" when I get out of bed in the morning, and have little to no hip pain at the end of a long day. I am sold on this product and my parents, mid-70's, have recently started using Natural Force Collagen Protein in their morning coffee, too. My dad says he's already noticed an increase in his energy level after a week of use. Really, really happy with this product.

This is my go-to collagen product and I've ordered it repeatedly. Grass fed and organic are important to me and this is both. I like that the amino acid profile is printed on the label, and that it doesn't contain any artificial colors, fillers, or additives. Also, chemical solvents and bleaching agents are not used in the processing. It dissolves easily in my coffee and has a neutral taste. It's on the pricey side, but the lesser-priced alternatives don't meet the same standards. I'm happy with this product.

I would like to start off my review by saying that I have used the unflavored bone broth powder by this brand for months with no issue. I have gastritis and need protein, and it's one of the only protein powders that doesn't upset my stomach. It recently ran out of stock, so I ordered this as a temporary replacement to get me through until the bone broth powder was back in stock. It dissolves into water fine, however the smell and taste is horrible. I reached out to the customer service of the company directly and this is what they stated: "We would like to let you know that our Collagen Peptides have recently achieved USDA Organic certification! To obtain this prestigious certification, we've partnered with a new 100% grass-fed and rainforest-safe supplier that meets the rigorous standards set by the USDA Organic program. You may notice a slight difference in the texture or appearance of your collagen due to the change in sourcing and because it is also slightly less processed, unlike other collagen powders that are not organic. However, please be assured that the quality and efficacy of our product remain unchanged. Our Organic Grass-Fed Collagen is still fresh, non-rancid, and offers the same health benefits you've come to expect. We're committed to providing you with the highest quality products and believe that this USDA Organic certification further enhances the value of our Collagen Peptides." So it seems that the recent change that everyone is experiencing is due to a different formulation due to them getting a USDA organic certification. It's great that they have this, and it's one of the reasons I purchase this brand so often, but the smell and taste is something I really cannot get past. I tried on multiple occasions and in different ways, but no matter what it genuinely smells like a cow farm, and it tastes sour and rancid. It is very overpowering. I would recommend trying to find a different brand until they fix the formulation

This works great and there’s very little taste when you add it to smoothies, strong tea or juice. If you put it in a thin or cold drink you should dissolve it in a little very hot water first or it will clump. But blends well in a blender. Also, the taste gets stronger over time so if you make a pitcher of smoothies to last a couple days, the second day will taste fishy.

I initially purchased this supplement to rebuild bone loss and to support joint function. I soon discovered it has numerous side benefits. As a good source of collagen it also supports organ function and I found my nails became stronger. This was a surprise for me and I believe it is also improving my skin and hair. The powder mixes well with my hot coffee or tea. I have not tried it in smoothies, but it would probably work well in them as well. A friend with joint issues purchased this supplement from my recommendation and has noticed significant pain and discomfort reduction. This is a healthy addition to your health regime.

I don't know how anyone can sell a product at this price and not have quality control. This is the worst item I have ever ordered through Amazon, if I could leave zero stars I would.I can not afford to throw away $60, but this is completely inedible. Didn't waste your money unless you can afford to take a risk. Update: because I didn't want to throw out $60 I got out my microplane and grated the big chunks into a usable product, it had a slight smell but it was undetectable in my coffee and the pain in my knee is noticably better. I don't like the fact that I have to grate it but I will be ordering again.
