This is the least noticeable method I've found for preventing my cat from scratching the sofas, and it actually works. In fact, she seems to associate all areas of the sofas with stickiness now and has left them alone entirely. I like the fact that it's really wide so you don't need as many strips to cover a large area. This helps with the frustration of trying to seperate the backing from the sticky part. Yes, it's tricky, but I found this tape marginally easier to separate than others I've had. It stays on well. The only problem is that it's almost invisible and you can can forget it's there and brush against it. Even so, it generally doesn't come off at all, it just gets fibres stuck to it. Even these haven't shown up except for a very slight blue tinge once from denim jeans. Easy enough to take a strip off and replace it when necessary though. I won't be without in future.

We used this on our couch as the cat kept scratching it, it has successfully stopped him scratching it and instead he resorts to licking the tape. We've changed the tape a few times as its very sticky it gets easily dirty it leaves no marks whatsoever on our fabric couch. Great value and easy to apply

While in place on stair risers it deterred the cat from scratching the carpet. However, the cat would move onto the steps without the tape. The tape also got filthy and looked awful. Once removed, the cat resumed its destruction on those steps. What we've noticed is that normal clear packing tape works just as well. It really doesn't need to be sticky on both sides. And if not sticky on the outside then it doesn't pick up dirt

We bought this for the kitten. She scratches the bedroom door at 6 in the morning and while small, is also able to push the door open (past two door stops and now two weights...amazing strength). So far, after a week, it's doing well. They don't like the stickiness on the paws and she's at least stopped clawing at it. Still need ear plugs, but I'd recommend this. It's very clear, so probably would be fine on cloth (no one really wants to see coloured tape all over their couch), but we have it on a dark wood door. They say you can take it off after they're trained, but can you ever really train a cat?? Unsure about that one, but it's definitely working on the door (p.s. didn't stop the dog using his muzzle to push it open, but it's not meant to...wish it did though ).

It works when you first apply it however after a while it traps dust, hair and other things which means it loses the stickiness and my cat takes that as his opportunity to start scratching again, it can also be annoying when walking through my door because it’s on the floor and sticks to you if you forget it’s there. Also once my cats starts scratching it again it creates an even bigger problem where the carpet folds over and sticks together meaning i have to rip a lot of the carpet fibres out to get the tape off.

This is literally just 2 sided tape! There is nothing anti scratch or helpful about this tape. All it does it make things (everything) stick to the sofa. No difference to cats. I'm going to bring it to work to use since it's just regular 2 sided tape.
