I bought the furry baby rectangular fountain but the filters shown are for the square one. Where can I find replacement filters for the rectangular ?

Just go to the furbaby fountain and there should be a picture of the replacement filters, that is what I did and have never had a problem getting new ones.

Where do the little sponges go?

If you take the white top off the water cooler there is a little square cut out and you just place the sponge filter in that cut out. It’s pretty easy and you just change it out every couple of weeks

Are the sponges also included with the filters?

yes of courese, include 6 spong

What do the sponges do?

I believe they are part of the "filtration system", as they are near the bottom section (where the water pumps UP to flow outside). They DEFINITELY need changing, as they become grey with dust, etc. I am not an engineer, so just a guess. I only know my cat has TOTALLY CLEAN WATER 24/7, as long as you remember to change filters, & clean fountain, which is EXTREMELY EASY, and takes about 5 minutes. Best purchase I've made!
