Does not work well with 1 1/4 inch rod
Because it’s supposed to work with 1 inch and 1 1/4 the opening for the rod is tapered and the screws don’t get a good bite on 1 1/4 rod

Very strong closet rod supports
These supports are extremely strong. Each one has three holes for screws. If you hit studs these things are very strong. I worried about using the included hammer-in anchors (I have nothing but trouble from the hammer-in anchors), but on the other hand the zinc screw-in drywall anchors that I like to use aren't completely covered by the support. A little paint fixes that right up.There is a set screw to keep the bar in place once you have it installed. I strongly recommend using that set screw.Great product, but I would hesitate to use it in a shower as they advertise - too many bad experiences with Chinese products claiming to use stainless steel when it is nothing of the sort.

SOLID METAL
THESE ARE HOLDING UP IN THE CLOSET JUST FINE. INSTALLATION WAS EASY AND IT CAME WITH THE SCREWS AND ANCHORS. WELL MADE.
