I used Heiro many years ago when my awesome Foxtrotter became an IR horse. He lived many years symptom free. I recently inherited a magnificent Andalusian draft cross, and George is heavy and cresty, so I put him on Heiro immediately. Neck is softer and nice already, weight looks better and I see a huge improvement in the first tub. Thank you so much.

Since moving to a different state, my senior Rocky Mountain mare has had a very difficult time adjusting to the sugar-rich grasses in her new pasture. She's always been an easy-keeper, but this new environment has taken a toll on her. Last year she was on the prescription commonly given to metabolic horses and it helped her immensely. This year, however, that same prescription did absolutely nothing for her. At mid-August, she still had her full winter coat and had foundered badly. I was at my wit's end. Dry lot, muzzling, frequent trims, boots, veterinary exams... nothing helped. I decided to try Heiro. Within two weeks she finally shed her winter coat. She has lost nearly all her cresty neck, and now she is doing a lovely amble out to pasture for a few hours at night (but still with her muzzle). This product is not cheap, but in my opinion it's worth every penny. I'm so thankful I decided to try Heiro!

I didn't thinkbi would be able to ride my 18 year old mare again. She is doing great on Heiro. I had a few short rides on her last fall. She is moving well and I look forward to riding in the spring.

Thank God for this product. I was in fear of having to put down my pony. She had a bout of laminitis that was so bad she appeared to have Parkinsons when she moved. 8 months later, she is 90% ok and no longer lame. She also lost all of her excess weight. Will be forever a buyer!

This is so full of healthy ingredients that support hooves, hair and general health of your horse. It smells wonderful and therefore the horses love it and eat it right up which doesn't always happen with supplements. I would give it 5 stars if the price wasn't higher than I think is necessary.

Useful for horses that have metabolic syndrome. Helps keep our 2 horses c with that issue, not Founder!

My horse is I.R. Keeping weight off means a grazing muzzle all the time, special feed, and being on a dry lot at certain times of the year. He is retired and lives at my vet's home/barn in N. Carolina. On occasion he goes lame/sore due to being overweight (navicular and arthritis). I had almost given up until I stumbled across this product. It is amazing. I mean amazing, amazing. You know with supplements sometimes you think they are working when you remove them and conditions change over a long period of time, but still you wonder. Most times you are never really sure if they are doing anything at all. My vet is excellent, old school, but still open minded. I don't think he thought it would work. Well, within one week my horse was dropping weight. He removed the grazing muzzle (first time in a long time) and still he kept losing weight. He was about 150 lbs over when we started. He actually lost so much weight that we stopped the Heiro altogether. When the new grass came in this fall/winter, he started putting on the weight again. Put him back on the Heiro and am now at the maintenance dose. He is 30. He is moving better than he has in 10 years. He has not been this lean in many, many years. The vet was so impressed. He actually told me he wished a lot more clients would use the Heiro. All I know as a horse owner is that this product really works. It has greatly improved the quality of life for my horse and given both myself and the vet some relief from the constant management techniques which didn't help him lose weight. He is still wearing a grazing muzzle due to the new grass coming in, but at least he is out in pasture. Going to try removing the grazing muzzle soon. The vet who made this product actually does what he says and will consult with your vet if you want. Can not recommend enough, it is a lifesaver. You can do the blood tests that he recommends and see the changes also. (we did)

My horse was a performance horse for years. Her front feet has always been bad. She barely has any frog left. It was so hard for her to walk and it got to the point that I was thinking I would have to put her down. She is the sweetest horse ever & such a pleaser. I came across this product & read the reviews. Decided to try it. Jazzy is doing so good now. She actually runs through the pasture. She’s no longer in pain. I will forever keep this product in my barn. She never skips a morning without it. I spent so much money on vets & farriers & no one was able to help her. This stuff saved her life. I am forever grateful & highly recommend it!

Insulin resistane

This product has helped my horse with her laminitis, she went from hardly being able to walk to now running and keeping up with all her friends. I would highly recommend this.

I started using Heiro about 40 days ago as of the time I am writing this review. It is a last resort to helping my horse recover from insulin resistance and chronic founder due to the insulin levels. She was not sound enough to exercise and was not over weight. She was prescribed Metformin which helped the symptoms but her mouth and throat ulcerated so bad that we had to discontinue use. I have an excellent farrier also caring for her. She foundered again and was depressed with obvious pain all over her body. She was suffering to the point I was giving up and considering euthanizing her at only 13 years old. That's when out of desperation I started researching other alternatives of treatment. Heiro had good reviews so I purchased the 180 day dose. 40 days later she is finally down to Heiro and weaned down to 10mg bute twice a day. I reduce bute every day slowly. She was stalled for months to keep her off her feet to let the laminae heal. I have her outside for some exercise some of the day and hoof pain is greatly improved. I have hope now. I said when I purchased Heiro that I would give her the 180 days and if she was not better I would put her down. I was skeptical when I purchased Heiro but I have to say it is working and I have hope for a complete recovery. I will post another review in a couple of months to update our progress! Hopefully we can get back on the trails again!

Have been using to retain a proper regime on my minatures. I have had some success.
