- LivSo Moisturizing Scalp Shampoo - Moisturizes Hair & Scalp - Naturally Derived - Fresh Feel Product - A Little Bit of LivSo Goes a Long Way

I have naturally kinky hair, called 4c for hair typing purposes. I have shoulder and bra-strap length hair. I have seborrheic dermatitis and dry scalp. I wash my hair once a week most of the time. Sometimes, with systems I have used in the past, right after my washed hair is dry, I could see flakes at my hairline. I used the LivSo shampoo, conditioner, and lotion on 4/10/17. I followed the instructions on the bottles. My scalp was so clean AND mosturized even after my hair was dry, no flakes. As the week progressed, no flakes, hair was still soft. Around 4/16, I did notice some itchiness and a few flakes/build up, but nothing like I have been having. It is time to wash again, but my hair is actually still soft (I do use a leave-in conditioner and grapeseed oil to seal in moisture). I feel like if I were to wash 2 times a week, I would probably be flake free with this, but that would be a lot of hair manipulation for me :). I really like this product!! Everything is meant to touch your scalp, even the conditioner! Hair lotion for my scalp was also something I was looking for as opposed to an oil to keep my scalp moisturized. This system addresses my needs for a clean scalp, less itchiness/flakes/buildup AND moisturized hair as some products clean the scalp, but dry out the hair. I will see how it works after several washes, but based on my first wash, I would definitely buy this again. The only thing that would complete this system for me would be a leave in conditioner that works as well.

My scalp was very irritated from prescription shampoos and OTC shampoos recommended for a newly flaky scalp (menopause/eczema/etc). Those medicated shampoos made things exponentially worse. After a couple years I finally found LiveSo. Within three months my scalp was wonderfully normal again. I had no problems for a couple of years and foolishly tried to switch to a salon shampoo for volume. Two weeks later me and my once again dry, flaky, irritated scalp returned to LiveSo. Bottle size: yes, it is small but concentrated - you do not need a lot! After rinsing: yes, it feels ‘different’ - your hair clean but not stripped/squeaky - this is a good thing! Sun warning: I’m in the PNW but pale Swedish/Scottish heritage. No problems with scalp sensitivity.

I'm rating the product line as a whole -- four stars. I've been using the line for about two months. I didn't want to rate it right away because products will work for about two weeks, and then they stop working. In any case, the shampoo and scalp lotion are the winners in this product line. I will be repurchasing both when I run out. I will probably end up repurchasing the conditioner as well, but I wasn't impressed with it at all. The shampoo: highly concentrated, so you don't have to use a lot of it, and it doesn't strip your hair. It has a nice citrus type of scent -- clean. With other shampoos I usually experience an itchy or dry scalp a few hours after I shampoo. With this shampoo, my scalp feels normal. The moisturizing scalp lotion: I use this on wash days and in between when I have a little bit of discomfort, a sore spot or itch on my scalp -- same scent. I apply it in the shower before I apply my styling products. The conditioner: There is not enough conditioner for people with coarse hair, and this line was created with African American people with scalp problems in mind; though, fine-haired people can use the line. Also, the conditioner is on the thin side. I was really surprised and disappointed. I think that it needs to be thicker with more moisturizing alcohols, and more! I need a 16 to 32 oz bottle. This will be the first product that I will need to replenish. When I apply it, it almost seems like it's not doing anything. In fact, it seems like it makes my hair tangle a bit. Oh yeah, this is not a detangling conditioner at all -- it's all about massaging some into your scalp -- but make sure you rinse it off before applying the lotion. I keep it on my hair for three minutes, add water, and then that kind of activates it, but not by much. I suggest buying all three products because they do work synergistically. But the conditioner is just not impressive.

I have tried SO MANY shampoo products for dry scalp. I do NOT have dandruff, I just have very dry, coarse curly hair that is moderately thick and the dryness includes my scalp. I used to wake up in the night itching my head it would be so irritated. I could never narrow down what or what didn't make it itch. Even a lot of the the no sulfate, gentle/natural shampoos left my scalp and hair dry and itchy. Co-washes didn't make a difference in scalp itch either and my hair would just snarl and not seem clean. I found this product and bought the whole line. I immediately felt a difference in my scalp and the moisture content. Shampoo soothed my scalp, hair did not snarl, and the conditioner just bolstered the shampoo's effect. I add a bit of the scalp moisturizer to my part, the crown area, and my bang area and ALL itch is gone. It is amazing. It's like my whole head goes AHHHHHHH, finally! Thank you for inventing such a GREAT product! And thank you for not making it smell sweet and heavy (like vanilla or coconut which are 90% of the scents in hair products these days UGH, I get migraines from those scents), these products just smell clean. Highly recommend the whole line!!!

First, when I opened the cap, nothing would come out of it. As I fiddled with it in shower, the cap came apart. I also noticed how fast it suds up, and of course, this would explain why my hair was extremely fluffy and dry. I have scalp psoriasis and need a shampoo that doesn't dry my scalp. This may be a great shampoo for oily hair.

I was having very dried scalp and a lot of dandruff.My scalp started to look as burnt skin.I am using this shampoo for 3 months now and I can say that is very good.I don't have dandruff and dried scalp.I am very happy.It lasts about one month.

Great shampoo

It's good (smells nice, hair feel clean after use etc) but didn't really solve my issue of dry scalp. I have cut out almost all dairy which does seem to help my scalp a lot.
