You can't go wrong with Platinum Tools...... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The good and bad *by P***J on August 31, 2024* Platinum Tools EXO Crimper makes perfect crimps for CAT6 and CAT6A. All the crimps I made and tested passed at 2.5Gbps (I have 2.5Gbps switches and router). The downside is that you must use Platinum Tools ezEX44 (CAT6) or ezEX48 (CAT6A) connectors which are more expensive than cheaply made ones available. The less expensive ones will not "click" into place in the crimper. The ezEX connectors and the EXO Crimper are designed for CAT6 and CAT6A with 23AWG wire. The wires are staggered in the connector to reduce crosstalk. The metal conducts are very robust and make posite contactA nice feature of the crimper is that the crimp head can be removed and turned around to fit a left-handed or right-handed user. Other heads can be used for CAT5e and RJ-12/11. This crimper is designed for professionals who need all completed Ethernet cables to be tested.
