Does this blanket shed terribly? Looking for kne that doesn't

I was very excited about this throw. It’s definitely soft and comfortable, but the shedding is awful. When I first unboxed it I left it on my couch before I washed and it shed, but I figured washing per instruction would help. No. It made it worse. I tumble dried it to try and pull excess off, and my filter was completely full. My clothes and my couch are covered. It gets in your hair and sticks to your skin. Comfortable but not worth the hassle.

Can I add fabric softner?

We would not recommend using fabric softener as this could damage the fibers of the Everlasting Comfort Throw Blanket.
