This package was only $1 more than a regular Nano S here on Amazon. I spent a couple of days to figure out what is what as I was looking to buy Nano S. I'm glad I did. For the price of a dollar you get a magnetic cable similar to Mac's power cable. I would probably pay more for this cable for one simple reason: Nano S has micro USB connector on the unit itself. If you dealt with these you would know that they are very delicate. I almost broke one on my old phone. So, the cable that MintCell provides you can insert into Nano and leave it there forever. To disconnect the device you just separate the magnetic connection. The tiny insert stays in the unit and is small enough that the metallic cover closes in right over it, so it's not in the way of normal unit operation. In other words, you don't keep inserting the cable into the unit, so you don't wear out the inner part and can't break it off. This cable addition is genius and I highly recommend this package instead of the regular Nano S item sold here as well. The Nano S that you get is the same exactly thing you would buy separately. So, if I had to buy it again, I would go for this package. Highly recommend. If for some reason you don't want to use the cable, just don't use it and use the wallet as one you would buy separately. I particularly like how the linked apps "go dark" as soon as you break the connection with the Ledger Nano S. Just reinforces the whole idea of getting it in the first place. You are your own bAs have others in their reviews, I would like to "second the motion" that getting the MintCell "version" is worth the few extra dollars. The Ledger is independently wrapped, i.e. it is still just like it was received from Ledger. MintCell simply creates some "value added" features, which I really like.I did look long and hard at the Ledger Blue. I was willing to spend the money, if I could understand the additional value. The very nice and clever magnetic connection and cable on the unit I purchased DOES NOT WORK; it does not provide full communication with the software on the computer. After spending a day with all kinds of research and query on the web, I finally discovered that by replacing the special magnetically connecting cable with the provided standard cable, the device made proper connection with the computer software and I was able to proceed.Possibly I received a faulty cable, or magnetic interface. Possibly it is a systemic fault with either of these two components.A second unit, ordered before my discovery, is on its way to me and I will post if that unit has a similar problem or not.Subsequent Addition: After about about 1-1/2 week of working on the cable w non-magnetic connector, the device no longer communicated with websites on the computer. The newly ordered Ledger also worked for about a week and then also no longer connected to the computerr software. I tried all the remedies Ledger recommended without success.
