Designed backwards (unsafe to use)
The operation of this sensor assemble is design backwards for safety. If the power supply to the PCB fails or is unplugged and the pump is on another supply or the PCB burns out the relay will be in a position to continue to water until the water reservoir is empty. In my case I would have five gallons on my floor. To make this a usable product the relay should be activated when the sensor is dry which could then activate the pump or in my case a solenoid. If the unit failed the relay would most likely not energize and would not start the pump. Poor design unless water damage is not an issue for your setup. If this is used as a water sensor alarm it would be okay but it is being sold as a watering device.

Needs power plug
Nice cost effective product but I suggest that a 12 vdc power cord with an appropriate plug be supplied as the 12 volt connection on the board has two prongs and needs a specialized connector plug.

Maybe NOT 12V
It seems both the units I received were over powered with 12 volts. The relay clearly indicates 12 volt coil but after popping the first unit, I confirmed and double check voltage and polarity before popping the second unit.
