Lew's Mach 2 SLP Baitcast Reel

Casts farther than my Curado DC on a good day, and pairs great with the XD Series cranking rods. I currently use mine on the 3XD, and with that rod, I can easily cast a light crankbait just as far as a curado dc can. Worth every penny. -1 star in the durability department just because a tiny screw went missing, possibly my fault, but it was to a cosmetic plate on the front, and didn’t reduce the ability of the reel in any way. A dot of super glue fixed it right up and I can’t tell the difference. Don’t let my little mishap deter you from your decision to buy.

I bought this reel to replace a BB1 and after several fishing trips I am impressed. Winn grips are great, color goes great with my I rod square bill special and it casts long and quiet. I use for crankbait because I fish from small craft and need the speed to stay in strike zone. Adjust the cast control knob before you make your first cast, on right in first picture. The only reason for four star is I am still getting overruns so I will keep adjusting until they are gone. Overall a quality product from Lews.

I had several baitcasters over the years, most all under $200. However, this one takes the cake. I love it. It looks great, casts super smooth, durable and extremely light.

Great reel for the price

This is the most awesome reel you can buy!! Cast a mile and easy to set up. Fit and finish are perfect down to the smallest detail! Grips are super cool and feel like you could haul in a great white lol defiantly ordering for my other lews reels. Got this for my googan squad rod and it’s a perfect fit and match my dream combo!!

This is my 6th Lew’s bait-casting reel and is another great bait-casting reel. Have only used a few times so far but compact, precise and reliable. I’ve had other quality brand reels fail after years of use but so far none of my Lew’s reels have shown any problems or issues. Would buy again.
