I bought this pillow on a whim at my kids' allergy doctor appointment. The office was shared with a chiropractor, and they were have a Christmas special: buy one, get one half off. The desk girls had personally not tried it, nor received any feedback on them. I took it home and tried the medium amount of water recommended. The next night, I tried the most water. The 3rd night the least. On the fourth night I added a little less than their recommended "minimum amount" and was SO SOLD on the product I went back to the doctor office and asked if they would sell me a 2nd at the half off deal. They did! Now I can roll over onto my husband's side of the bed and not get a crick in my neck. BEST INVESTMENT IN YEARS. I had been happy with a previous pillow but had washed it so many times I could not not read the label any more! Where did i buy it?? What brand was it?? I spent a stupid amount of money on over a dozen different types and thicknesses of pillows over the next 6 years and some would work for a short time before I would wake up with a sore neck that would last for DAYS with an accompanying headache. I, like other reviewers here, considered expensive diagnostic tests to figure out what was wrong with ME. Turns out it was just a pillow issue! I have had my pillow now for 6 years and just went on a trip to a humid area for 3 weeks and came back with mold on my pillow case- I shower at night and my hair was still damp in the mornings. I tried spraying the pillow with bleach, which helped but didn't remove the spots entirely. I had a spare in my closet (cuz I dread a possible night's sleep without one, should I ever need a replacement and find them all back ordered or something equally horrific!). I figured the washing machine was worth a shot- I could break out the spare replacement if I had to. The front loading washing machine tried for an hour to spin and drain the last 3 minutes of the cycle and I just finally gave up and let it finish air drying. Next morning I could see that it was a blob of pillow innards in a wad on one end of the case. Oh well! I pulled out the new replacement from the plastic bag in my closet and found that it had another name (panic! A quick check showed they were the same company though: previously "Floating Comfort" by Mediflow. Now just "Mediflow" was printed on the non-removable case), and it was WAY thicker-seeming than my wadded blob I was replacing. However, I now had no alternative (name any commercial, brand name, anchor store brand pillow and chances are I've tried it!) So I slept on it. All I can say is, I was unaware of my head/ neck while sleeping and I have been unaware of my head/ neck during the day all 3 days I have used it. Maybe my older version of the same pillow had just gotten compacted over the last few years of use? I don't know, but I'm coming on here to 1) buy my next replacement and 2) get the little case so maybe I can avoid the mold issue in the future. I literally take my pillow with me on all over night trips or else just anticipate a sore neck/ headache during my trip. Here were my initial concerns: 1) I didn't want to have to replace water weekly/ daily/ monthly -but GOOD NEWS! It only has to be replaced once a year! 2) I didn't want to have to go out and buy fancy water. The water where I live is very hard and even with a filter and softener system it destroys things in short order. But- I can just use water from the tap! No fancy distillation, filters or spring water required! Yay! Additionally, my daughter suddenly developed a sore neck when she turned 18. She was saving all her money up for college, but I told her she needed to spend some of her money on this pillow anyway. She finally broke down and bought it and was instantly glad that she did! So don't assume it's only for us 30-and 40-somethings (and beyond!) It can be beneficial for the younger crowd, too! I followed the directions- I have never had any issues with leaking, and the water level stays consistent until your yearly water swap!

My hubby and I love our new pillows. I have scoliosis as well as military neck. Before this pillow, I would wake up in the middle of the night and have to sit up because my neck or back or both were hurting. Since we bought these, no more waking up! This has been the answer. I have mine filled to firm and it cradles my head and neck perfectly. It is so comfortable. The process of filling it is a breeze. We used a tea pitcher since it has measurements for quarts and liters. We just pulled a dining chair up to the sink and just did it all right there. Easy! We tested for the sloshing on the bed since you will always hear water if you are wiggling it in your hands in the air. Lie down on it and turn side to side to see if you hear water. We have bought all kinds of really expensive pillows hoping for relief. Pillows from furniture stores, department stores, even chiropractors. They were all disappointments. We are beyond thrilled with this. My son just ordered one after lying on mine for less than 2 minutes. He immediately started yawning, relaxed, and felt the support and comfort.

I have a lot of issues with my cervical spine and this is the only pillow I will use. It provides customized support. Despite what some of the negative comments say, this is the fourth time I have purchased this pillow and I have never had any issues with mold, it is actually super easy to get the air out before sealing the water in, I've never had an issue with it leaking. I honestly think there are a lot of user errors and not following directions well and not sealing it well. The only thing I wish with this pillow is that the actual pillow part was a bit fluffier. It is a bit flat for my preference. That is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Maybe this is all water pillows but the water accumulates in the pillow in a way that makes it “stand up” or lay in a very awkward position so I am constantly having to adjust water level. I am repeatedly having to adjust the pillow to find a level of comfort. Also, when it is warm in the house, may need to let some water out as the pillow seems to be “harder” in the summer. IDK. I feel like it’s a lot of trial and error. For 60 bucks (per pillow), I wanted a hassle-free pillow that would alleviate my neck arthritis issues while sleeping and that has yet to happen (for me).

WOW!!!! My wife and I both have tried several brands of pillows. I had my eye on these while she was intent on getting the My Pillow brand. SO, I bought them both. The Mediflow pillows arrived very fast, thanks to prime, and we were sleeping on them that night and LOVED them instantly. About four days later the My Pillows arrived and we switched to try them out. The very next morning, we switched back to the Mediflow pillows! For the first time in many months, we both sleep well and woke with NO neck pain and it has been that way since the first day we started using these Mediflow Waterbase Pillows. We gave the My Pillows to our daughter to try and she loved them! WIN - WIN! I highly recommend these pillows! As far as the water.. I can only hear the sound of the water inside when I reposition the pillow. Meaning picking it up and moving it or sliding it across the bed to angle the pillow, putting more of it behind my body for back and shoulder support. Rolling over, which I do a lot, or sliding either hand under the pillow for better arm position, which I do a lot when on my side, does not cause any audible sound that I can hear. I am very, VERY happy with these pillows.

I really like having a water pillow - I have much less neck pain. When my old one started leaking, I waited impatiently and sleeplessly for the new one to be delivered. For me this is a wonderful pillow. The twin pack was an excellent deal!
