It is an attractive, well-constructed case that fits perfectly and provides a significant amount of protection. The various access holes and buttons are precisely placed, the on/off magnets work well, and the iPad is very easy to remove form the case. It is light, designed not to add much weight to the greatly slimmed-down Air. Although referred to as yellow, the color is more a chartreuse, which is not a problem - it looks great!Having had the case for only 1 week, I can't say how well it will wear, although minor smudges on the leather exterior have cleaned up easily with a slightly dampened cloth. So far, my experience with the Smart Case has been entirely positive and enjoyable.

If you want a simple, clean-looking case that's not bulky and fits your iPad Air just right, then this is a no-brainer. There are a lot of cheaper alternatives but in the end it's up to you. The case is leather and it's really good quality. If you want a case that will be used to prop your iPad up in landscape mode so you can type, I wouldn't recommend it though since it collapses relatively easy.Overall Verdict: If you have the cash to protect your investment (iPad) and you prefer a simple, clean-looking, high quality case then the Apple Smart Case is an awesome choice.

The new Smart Case for the iPad Air is totally worth $79.99!!! Not polyurethane like previous Smart Covers and Cases. This awesome case is leather. The fit is perfect, snaps in securely, cover aligns flawlessly. Same wonderful sleep mode. No magnets on the sides, all one piece! The colors are all beautiful, more pastel, with a cool Apple (subtle) Embossed Logo on the back side. I love these Smart Cases so much, have bought two different colors!!! The brown is awesome, has leather grain running through it. Hope Amazon can get some more brown ones! This is not an overpriced Apple product, it's the highest quality and best looking case to protect your amazing Apple iPad Air!!!

Apple is known for selling products are that very expensive. This is one of those products. At $79.99, it was a bit hard to swallow. But after looking at various cases available, I took the plunge and purchased it. I found the product to be very well made and the iPad air fits very snugly. The quality of the material is a good quality and feels smooth. It also provides a reasonable amount of grip with one hand. The case feels sturdy enough to prevent damage from any drops. It doesn't seem to completely close as the cover near the hinge doesn't rest completely flat against the top of the ipad screen. Although this is a minor detail, I have more expectations because the price is so high. There are alternatives to this case, which is the Fintie Smartshell Case that also has the smart cover auto wake / sleep. There seems to be more colors available and the price for the same color is $9.85 on Amazon. I seem to have some buyer's remorse because the other option could have been as good for a much cheaper price. In fact, I could have bought 7 of the Fintie Smartshell cases and it would have been cheaper. I could switch cases each day of the week. Although I have not actually used the Fintie case, the price difference should have been enough of a reason to try it first. Then if you're not happy with it, go buy the Apple Smart Case.Overall, I like the case but I'm not happy with the price I had to pay for it. Whether it's actually worth the price is still up for debate. It doesn't seem to be any more special, the back has an embossed apple logo that is barely noticeable. The buttons are easy to use and access.Here is a breakdown of the good and the bad:Good:- Solid and strudy case.- Material is easy to handle, not provides a reasonable amount of grip with one hand.- The holes where connectors go match very well- Does not add too much too to the iPad Air- Inside cover of the case is softer material that touches the screen.Bad:- VERY Pricy!- Cover near the hinge does not sit flat against the screen.- 3 segmented stand works well when it's set up properly, but it's not as sturdy as I was hoping.- Price is too high (Worth mentioning again!)

The laser cut fit is perfect - far superior to the cheapo case I was using where I would literally have to push the iPad around inside the case every time I opened it to get the buttons to line up with the case cutouts. The on/off sleep feature is great. The leather is beautiful quality. Only gripes are the same as others…1) when propped in horizontal "view" mode, the triangle formed by the cover is flimsy and prone to collapsing, and 2) no magnet to keep the cover "glued" to the case back when in the open and folded back position. People who complain about the price are being unrealistic about the price of small leather goods. This case is real leather, not vinyl or pleather. It's worth the price for the quality of the leather alone. In my opinion, the brown is a nice color and it doesn't get lost in your bag like the black does. The color shown in the online picture is very accurate.

Didn't realize Apple made a leather Air case as my former Air cover seemed to be some type of rubber. This case is superb! Smells & feels smooth and soft like leather. The "teal" color looks awesome on the white pad; I'm sure with the black it will also give the pad a sophisticated look. The on/off feature works 100% of the time and is a must when wifi connection unavailable - saves from exceeding data plan. Some of the copy-cat cases tried do not demonstrate the same reliability.
