I like these high-security remotes, but they arrived a few days after the Solidremote 2-channel relay box install. So, I removed the 4 screws in the box, so I could reach in to press the programming buttons and everything was buttoned up in 5 minutes.. The relay box with it's little pigtail antenna is located inside the detached garage. The garage has steel doors and metal foil covering all the insulation, and that blocks a lot of RF signals. The stock GDO remotes were erratic and my DIY ESP8266 WiFi controlled GDO failed often because of weak wifi inside the garage. (WiFi is strong in the driveway). Using the microwave oven inside the house would break the wifi link to the garage.. So, I was surprised that all four of my new Remotes worked reliably at 50 yards. I don't need to add an external antenna on my garage! Plus, neither one of my old GDOs came with encrypted rolling codes.. I like the added security.

Perfect replacement for my older ‘Pool Boy’ automatic cover. One of my remotes rusted out in the weather and I wanted to have a back up. I was worried trying to pair a new remote might disconnect up my older remote, but it did not. For $13 this was a fantastic buy! The replacement on the manufacturer site included a new transmitter which did not need. I simply took the cover off; removed the transmitter cover pressed one of the switches for a few seconds, and then held the button down on the remote for a few seconds. Then I did the same with the second button. And voilà! The remote was paired perfectly! I I’m attaching a photo with the push buttons circled for reference. Thank you for this affordable solution! I installed the receiver (relay) outside in a weatherproof enclosure. This system has been working flawlessly, I wired in a system to turn my back yard lights on. just wanted more remotes for a backup.

Have the Solidremote receiver Kit 1 and use it to fire a contactor to start my dustcollector. I bought two of these extra transmitters to go long with the two that came with the receiver. Have 1 attached to each of my pieces of equipment near the on/off switches. Bandsaw, planer, tablesaw and router table. I programmed both the A and B button to start and/or stop the dustcollect. Why, just because I could. I plan to get a couple more of these soon to place near future purchase of drum sander and jointer. Great product and does exactly what I wanted. They claim to work with receiver 202U V5 THEY DO NOT! after hours of testing I found that they work with only the new V6 Their description says they do work with V5 I've tested eight remotes all work with V6 and not with V5 others have found the same. The new controllers cannot be distinguished from older ones. Since my return window has closed I have requested the company replace all eight. I will update with the results. Beware if your in need of additional controllers. Note the controllers shipped with V6 receivers fail with V5 controllers> This is not documented anywhere by Solidremote. Their Help and support web site has been missing for several days and no phone number listed. I will say that if you have the right remotes for the controller they work extremely well, UPDATE SOLIDREMOTE GOT BACK TO ME! "Hold "C" and "D" together till led flashes Release "C" and "D" then press "C" led goes off Then new remote will pair with a V5 receiver This worked for four of my remotes but didn't work for Two others?

It doesn't matter how you need to switch your output, this remote covers everything but timed functions. I bought this for its long range capability and enjoy that I don't need my front bumper two feet from my automatic gate opener to make it function. What makes this work for so many different applications is the output relay's normally open and normally closed relay dry contacts. This allows switching of virtually any circuit and not just the control voltage. This remote allowed me to throw away the limited distance factory supplied remotes and go to a long range control for my Estate Swing gate opener .

The new 202U V6 receiver is not compatible with your remotes for the 2020U V5 receiver. For some unknown reason, solidremote company does not tell you anywhere that they are not compatible. Here is clarification for you. Model 202U V5 came with V3 remotes. Model 202U V6 comes with V4 remotes. I purchased the V6 receiver with 2 V4 remotes hoping to add 2 remotes to my perfectly working V5 receiver. Unfortunately, the V4 remotes will not work with my V5 receiver. No where in the product description on amazon does it say this. The new remotes look identical to my old remotes. There is no way of knowing that they are not compatible. I will be returning this new V6 receiver with its 2 V4 remotes today. I will wait for the V3 remotes to be back in stock and order those. Solidremote should update their amazon add and let buyers know this so that it doesn't keep happening to people.
