No. They are sharp. The ball points have a different number.

I have a handi quilter sweet sixteen sit down quilting machine. are these the right needles for it?

Yes, They are what I use on my HQ Sweet Sixteen machine.

The title has MR for multi direction but the photo and product doesn’t. Clarification?

The need is round all the way at the top. No flat side where the needle inserts into the machine. There is an indent at the bottom before the needle eye - that is how I tell which way to insert the needle into my long arm. I have an HQ Avante and the needles work well in it.
