I had one of these about 10 years ago. It took 4 AA batteries, this one takes one large, heavy battery. I have used this a hand full of times. Already had to replace the on/off switch. And on the last hunt the set screw that sets the orientation on one of the wings fell out at some point.

Bought this to replace an older version that used double A batteries. I love the easy of charging and use, but this model is a lot heavier. Takes longer to ensure the pole it perfectly vertical prior to placing the spinner on top.

I know the large version works so I am convinced that the smaller, lighter version will be equally effective - and easier to transport. I happened to have an extra remote control so I was curious if it would fit into the smaller version. It did but just barely. In the small version there is barely enough room to slide in the remote receiver with the velcro affixed to it. The remote is handy to have. The wing motion is most effective in low light. My hunting buddy is convinced that in bright sunshine the motion spooks the ducks. Be aware that the wings on the small Mojo are a sort of honey combed plastic rather than the aluminum wings on the full size version. Remains to be seen how sturdy they are but on plus side they may float unlike the big Mojo wings which will sink like a rock. Definitely should find a spare wing nut for the wings in case you drop and lose that in the dark. And definitely don't drop the Mojo in the water - can attest that these things are not waterproof - however Mojo has excellent customer service.

I like it and it does help with the ducks, but damn, it's kinda cheap. I feel like I have to be real gentle with it. First time I used it, one of the feet snapped in half when I picked it by the foot. BTW, I had drill out the foot holes a little larger too. Thanks for leaving the tiny pin holes to jam 1/4 inch plastic feet nubbins into. Also, why in the hell is there not a indicator light to tell you the battery is charging and/or complete. Maybe there's a reason, but it seemed kinda dumb to me. Anyways, I'm still giving it four stars cause it's helping me out. Just gotta be careful and handle it like it's a piece of grandma's china.

Mojos are always a must for me in a spread. I would reccomend getting a remote so you dont have to walk to it to turn on and off. The mojo was already charged when it came out of the box which was nice. Only two issues with it but are more personal than anything. The holes for the feet were not drilled properly so they weren't able to pop right in. However a duck wont notice a decoy not having feet. The other issue was how shiny the green head was. It was a bright green. Wish this was a darker non shiny head.
