Review: Definitely recommend this (speaking as a beginner) - Honestly the set was great. I totally thought it came with resin but it didn’t, my mistake for not reading the whole description though. Full disclaimer it did take like 5 hours bc you have to do the pieces in two sets as well as the board. Also a few of the pawns heads fell off so I had to make a third batch, but user error tbh. Definitely be careful when filling the chess board bc the colors will leak if filled to high or not level. Truly turned out better than expected and wasn’t that hard. Also recommend gloves for sure. Don’t skip those.

The pieces all came out great though some were difficult to de mold, but that’s to be expected. Be sure to fill them about half way and squeeze the air bubbles out! Trust me, take your time doing this, especially in places like the knight’s nose and the cross on top of the king. And be sure they are completely cured before de molding. Overall I was very pleased with this set and can’t wait to start making another one!

**Q: Can you purchase pieces separately with this**
A: I am pretty sure if you contact the vendor that they will assist your with this request.

**Q: Could I use this for wax?**
A: Hi, I’m not familiar with working with wax but as long as you use a release spray like with resin I’m sure it will work the same.

**Q: Mine did not come with instructions. I have never done resin items before and i dont know where to start. Do i need to buy anything else?**
A: So these are just molds. You need resin as well. There are many different brands of resin. Some are poured at a ratio of 1 to 1 while others are 2 to 1 or even 3 to 1. I personally use the 1 to 1 as it is easiest for me. I would start with a small batch so you can learn how to mix and use it. You can add mica powders, acrylic paints, or alcohol inks to the resin to color it. Once you have it stirred all the way you would then carefully fill the molds. It takes 24 hours for most resins to cure. There is also going to be air bubbles so you need a way to get those to come to the surface. You can use a heat gun, creme brulee torch, or spray it with some isopropyl or denatured alcohol.

**Q: What are the dimensions of the checkers pieces? How thick/tall? How wide?**
A: The checkers are about a quarter of an inch thick.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Creative Way To Make Games.

My son plays chess and he loved this set. Making his own Dallas set was the first thing he did. The pieces have cross bases that allow them to stand freely while curing. Easy to decorate and pour, pieces are a bit difficult to get out but they are worth it. The board is not as thick as it seems and the edges curl a bit as it cures but can be gently bent to flat as it hardens. Once it is all together it is a truly stunning game and it plays beautifully.
