Review: Gets rid of those pests! - I had a terrible infestation of fruit flies this summer. In the past, I've had a few flies but nothing like this. They seemed to be multiplying which was kind of freaking me out. Looking online for solutions, I could not believe what a real problem it is. I tried some of the home remedies which were a lot of work and literally gross to deal with (fruit in vinegar and wine, etc). I thought I'd try this product because it had some good reviews, and I'm glad I did. You simply pierce the four holes with a small stick that is provided. It allows the scent (bait) out that attracts the buggers. It's very discreet looking. I just placed it on my kitchen table and very soon they started heading for it and going in....never to be seen again. Yes!! The Natural Catch Fruit Fly Trap did really clean up the problem quickly.I believe the instructions said to keep a trap out for a month. I knew it was just over a month, but I thought I'd let it go a bit. I could not believe I saw one lonely straggler fruit fly there today, so the scent must still be working! I do plan to put the other one out soon, just in case. The price is good, and it does the job. The seller was easy to deal with, and the product came promptly. What more could you ask for? UPDATE 1/15/16: Just a word to the wise (from experience): Today I received this item from U-Spray Bugspray, and it arrived in good condition, in a padded envelope with clear instructions. My ORIGINAL order (for the review) came in a printed box like you would find in a store. BUT, a few months ago, I THOUGHT I was ordering the 'same thing', but the items arrived in a plastic bag in a REGULAR brown envelope that literally got SQUASHED in the mail (plus, no instructions were included....not good for first time users). Being squashed, they were unusable; vinegar and it's stink everywhere....nasty! I contacted desertcart and was happily given a refund. SO, just be careful who you are buying this from!
Review: Not quite as good as before - Usually these work great. Not sure, but something has changed because there's still gnats. Got rid of the majority.

**Q: Do you have to use a Soapstone box, and what is the benefit of using one? Does is kill the Flies or traps them ?**
A: The soapstone box is just for looks to hide the trap. I've never used the box, but may get one as I seem to always have a few stragglers around. The traps themselves with fairly well, though not nearly as well as a large bowl with cider vinegar if you have a pretty severe problem.

**Q: do these come with Solution already in them or do you have to add it.**
A: The solution is already in them. It comes with a stick to use to perforate the 4 covered holes on the top. This product worked very well for me.

**Q: Do these fit in the soap stone holder from Gardners Supply?**
A: I think so.  It fits into mine and I can't remember but I think I got it from GS

**Q: I just received this in the mail, but our fruit fly problem has gone away! How long will these unopened traps be good for?**
A: I have kept unopened ones in my pantry until the next summer, and they were fine. Just store them in a place that doesn't get too warm. The solution is vinegar-like.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ WORKS GREAT NEAR ACTIVE LITTER BOXES!!

We placed one container in our bathroom, near two VERY PRODUCTIVE litter boxes, if you get my drift! Our two healthy, young kitties eat constantly, so it's no surprise that we're cleaning their overflowing boxes several times a day, if we're home. Plus the kitties enjoying "playing" in their sandbox after most eliminations, so recently we noticed a few fruit flies joining the party. Not having had a fruit fly issue before (the kitties have been with us for only several months), we naively thought they would slowly just die out and disappear...WRONG!! Within several days we had to swat our way toward the litter box, while dodging the now large clusters of those nasty useless things, surrounding what must have been a smorgasbord of major delight -- freshly delivered by our two furballs.... It took 2 or 3 days for the bait to kick in, but once it did, they ARE ALL GONE!! NOT ONE PESKY FRUIT FLY REMAINS! I think it took a few days, because the FF's had to check out this new scent coming from the bait, which we humans can barely smell -- so they buzzed around it but didn't fall into the holes, they just sat on the outside...but a few days later that bait had a high occupancy rate!! I can only guess that this product would work near actual fruit or other sweets that they are attracted to...our problem was solely the litter box, and they are gone! If the need arises, we will reorder them...we still have one spare, since it's a two-pack!! Try it, you'll like it -- the fruit flies not so much, haha!
