Really enjoyable game
A new favourite in our family. Have played with 2 through to six players and enjoyed it with all the numbers (haven't attempted the single player yet). Simple rules and game play, but great fun trying to out-think the other players. Although the description says 14+ my 9 year old picked it up straight away (they do regularly play board games) so I thin this is suitable for younger children too

Great game for 6 people
For a relatively straight forward game, the user guide is absolutely useless & makes the gameplay seem more awkward than what it actually is. I definitely recommend watching a YouTube video, and you'll realise how straight forward it is. Onto the game itself, it is good fun to play with just 2 of you... But this game really shines when there's more of you playing. The ability to flip the board over & play between a kind & not so kind side, along with modular tiles, keeps the replay value very high. They missed a trick by not having a "ship" tile, so if you're playing then it's recommended to have something like a coaster to use as a ship.

Very good at higher player counts and lots of ways to customise
Libertali is a good game with easy to follow rules, it plays best at the higher player counts but the two player variant does make it viable at 2. The fun chaos of higher player counts is where this game shines but the overall strategy and player choices are pretty limited. Fun to play but won't be hitting my table often!

Arrived Damaged
Not sure where this came from but it needed to clear customs and the box was damaged on arrival. No longer suitable as a present… so hope it plays well!

Libertalia looks great out of the box and is an interesting game. The combinations of card effects makes each game unique and it never feels unfair since you all have the same hand (to begin)

Similar to the original with some returning characters as well as new ones. Also, new elements that determine influence and benefits from booty tiles. All in all, lots of fun.

First played with a friend at game night, easy to learn and competitively fun. Had plenty more fun when I taught family to play with the purchase.
