Review: DOFBOT versione RPI - Kit pre-assemblato, fatto veramente bene. Le parti in metallo ed i motori con molta coppia lo rendono solido e adatto anche per delle "prese" generalmente difficili per bracci robot di questa fascia di prezzo. Ho preso la versione RPI perchè avevo già una RPI 4 8GB, ma temo che la versione Jetson Nano funzioni molto meglio per gli esempi di riconoscimento facciale / colori e per tutta la parte di AI in generale. Spero che questo Kit venga presto aggiornato da Yahboom per supportare altri sensori, esempio una telecamera 3D, o un sensore Lidar, perchè al momento questa versione RPI, solo con camera HD mi sembra un po' limitata e forse sprecata.

Kit pre-assemblato, fatto veramente bene. Ho preso la versione RPI perchè avevo già una RPI 4 8GB, ma temo che la versione Jetson Nano funzioni molto meglio per gli esempi di riconoscimento facciale / colori e per tutta la parte di AI in generale. Spero che questo Kit venga presto aggiornato da Yahboom per supportare altri sensori, esempio una telecamera 3D, o un sensore Lidar, perchè al momento questa versione RPI, solo con camera HD mi sembra un po' limitata e forse sprecata.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good as a learning tool, but has its limitations

(Raspberry Pi 5 version) Plus: Easy to assemble and everything works. Online resources are available. Strong community. Minus: Smaller and weaker than expected, Camera is poor. Pad is made of paper and is not rigid which makes picking up blocks more difficult - a plastic mat would have been better. Some built in apps failed to work (ex: face tracking, colour tracking) or did not include clear instructions to make them work. Picking up bricks consistently failed due to the poor design of the gripper tip and the paper used for the pad. There is no real indication of how system can be extended even though this would mean more sales (their website lists accessories of all type but nothing about applicability to this arm). Not very user friendly overall in terms of hand holding, but maybe the target audience is expected to be very tech savvy already, which is understandable I guess. Overall: Good as a learning tool, but not useful for any practical application, as its too weak and too small to do much.
